I just did a 4k launch on my 04 wrx. I launched it mulitple times before and it never smelled this bad before. Is this normal?

Well you didn't completely burn it out if you said it still feels like it did... You defiantly shaved some of its life away though.

Lesson of the day... Don't do 4k drops if you don't know what your doing and what you are damaging.

Ugh. did this last month. Keep the windows down. It probably sunk in to your interior and is lingering bad. It should go away withing 48 hrs.

burnt clutch smells uhhhhhhhh... awful

If you care about your car in any way - stop the clutch dumps

sooner or later something's gonna give

either your clutch, or your tranny

either way you'll be out $500 +.....

some clutches do smell like rubber, but subaru OEM ones smell like old garbage. Burnt rubber smell could also be one of the accessory belts slipping.

LOL,

You sold me the parts. "No VIN number needed, STi's are easy." PDX tuning did the install.

I think I killed my clutch backing up my driveway...
