i also trapped 104 on a 13.0 run...

no bog, pretty much just 1/2sec of wheelspin then im out. i always hit fuel cut right before i cross the finish line. the difference is hardly felt anywhere, its pretty much just the quick shifting and launch... this season im gonna play around some more when i pick up Toyo Proxes T1s
my 12.9 was done on 17'' w/ Kumho 712s

Me too! Man those tires SUCK. I was cutting 1.81's on stock tires, then consistant 1.9x with those (some 2.0's). They are too slick IMO.

Do you think you could get a bit more out of the turbo with a fmic? I wonder if you could hold that 21psi longer and make more power with a fmic?

It might make it a cooler 21 psi but it would cause a little more lag and drop a psi or 2 from what i know. Sticking with a top mount until i go 20G

Ya the Blitz is pretty laggy, but most of the others there's no difference in lag at all.

i dont think i will ever go past the jdm sti sized chiller personally.
i will upgrade turbos this winter but i dont see the need for a huge chiller yet. i probably wont drag race too much more after the record chase.

I have a Turbo XS FMIC and I won't give it up! I went from a stock top mount to a STi TMIC and then finally the big ol T-XS FMIC and each time the difference was amazing. I could go back to my STi top mount to see if the was less onset but I don't want to go through that kind of work when I'm just gonna go back to the FMIC.

I have the 6MT tho so it seemed to make a hell of a difference as compared to when I had the 5MT with drivability. I just sux for the Q/M.

I have a quick question. How come on your dyno chart, it starts from 3500rpms and ends at 9000rpms?

I didn't feel like reading through the rest of the post.. but so if my question has been answered, don't flame me.

here's a quick scenerio. i'm going to have 2 opportunities to chase this record on a big venue this summer. when i ran the 12.96 it was street legal day so the track wasnt prepped at all. on july 10th the same track holds the sport comp. drags. and on aug. 28th sir is holding battle of the imports. with the prepped tracks, should i use the re92's or the kumho 225/40's? i spun hard out of the hole last time out.

can you tell me what boost levels you were running with the DSBC? Were you running more boost on the low end?

TIA

V6TurboTA:

Were you asking me about my DSBC settings ?

I made my best runs at settings that gave max boost of about 1.13 - 1.23 kg/cm^2 for the run. I use the scramble boost feature set for 2 -3 seconds to get MBC like spool on the low and second gear part of the run without spiking too much in 3 and 4.

We have the DSBC set for street and strip. Around town set for 12 psi or so. At the track on the second setting its 21psi. Holds 21 psi for a while a slowly comes down right before we shift. Lowest boost is around 16-17psi.

We are aggressive at the launch. Rev around 5000-6000. Let off the clutch, not side set but very smooth and quick. Lay in to the gas if there is traction then 2nd, 3rd then 4th
