Ok, WICKED crazy dealership prices please read
Called my local subbie dealer, and asked them for the price of
a MY00 RS performance gauge pack. NOT INSTALLED. Price? $550.00!!!! LMAO!!!! Anyone know of reputable sites that I can purchase this? I know the pack is only like $100 TOPS. Then I asked for the factory alarm and keyless entry package. again, NOT INSTALLED. Two seperate kits, both priced at $300.00 a PIECE! OMG?!?!?!?! I asked the guy why so expensive, and he was funny actually. He says, I dunno, but you can buy all this stuff online for 10X cheaper. as he chuckled. Sorry. Anyways, can anyone help me find these parts for a REASONABLE price? Cheers Will

The dealer price of the guage pack is about right. $100 is for the "pod" only. I'm not saying it's not overpriced. That's why most people get aftermarket gauges instead of the Subaru ones.
For the alarm and keyless entry, I don't think they should cost $300 a piece. For the cheapest Subaru parts price around here, check with Exeter Subaru in NH. 1-877-SUBARU9, or www.subaruwrxparts.com. -Ray |

I don't know where you got your idea of prices. The Factory Subaru Performance Gauge pack for 2000 Impressa vehicles is over $400 wholesale. I think you might be thinking of the price for the digital gauge pack - which is a compass and outside temp system - but even that is near $200.

Hmmmmm.....
Wow. Guess I'll just go aftermarket and save myself 400 bucks. Thanks. As for the security system, I can get the same features installed for 149.99 at a local car audio place. Wonder why OEM is so darned expensive. Oh well. Cheers Will |

You can buy the parts and build something like I have for around $320 to $350.
