Thanks for the help folks.
It's actually a bit more work than that, not to mention a step in the wrong direction ditching the composite mani. Imo wait and get a proper top mount designed with the 08+ in mind.

It may be more work if the 08 wrx uses the compressor housing that mounts to the bottom of the intercooler via the bolts rather than the rubber/plastic hose.
If thats the case then he would need to change the turbo as well, or use some f'ed up routing to duct it properly.

Yeah, not in stock and $25 each... Maybe that's why they call it a stealership. They just send their heads to the machine shop and have them grind away to get the right clearance.

I found a machine shop to do it for $150. I'm happy, I guess.

Did you try Duffin Engines? They have worked on several subaru motors that I can recall.

thank you sir ralliart4. i was just curious. gonna keep running regular pump. i'm at the top end of what my stock clutch can handle anyways. when it's cold outside like right now and i really get on it... the car screams at about 400 whp. and the clutch slips every once in awhile in third and forth gear. i'll be doing clutch next with some upgraded brakes soon. thanks for input.

If you are able to make it up to those numbers the DW400 pump and some 1200cc+ will work quite well. Keep in mind that e85 is basically ethanol racing fuel closer to 109oct regular petrol and you need a lot of it because of the burn dynamics approx 35%> or more.

One last thing if you are trying to have decent gas mileage forget the e85!

oh and i installed the sick speed blue horns on my car. what a pain in the ass to find the right bolt set up on the passenger side horn. since it didn't have a already threaded hole. in the end i had to use a nut clip and bolt after cutting slightly in to the metal to allow the clip to fit. but now that it's done i'm happy with it.

By the way if anyone is interested, North Park San antonio will have one Orange Sema addition STI in may and Gillman will have one orange wrx.

I originally was going to get the Sema edition at North park but there is a $2,000 up charge which i couldn't justify spending for some paint.

If I was buying a car that expensive I think I would fork out the extra 2k for a unique color

Holy crap! Did you just get it? Was that the one that the GM was driving? If so...they tried to get me to buy it...but it didn't have the shifter knob on it (someone actually stole the knob). I drove it even without the shifter knob though, and that's what made me decide to go with the STI sedan.

Congrats man.

Hahaha yes man! That was the one! Just like 20 minutes ago i was looking at the invoice and realized they charged me for a $189 STI shift knob that is not in the car. It's the standard shift knob! It's not really an option i wanted anyways but i did pay for it and it just didn't cross my mind at all. I emailed the sales guy and i hope he can straighten it out for me. He has been pretty cool so far so hopefully it will be a non-issue.

I got them to drop the price due to to the couple miles put on it and it worked out perfect for the price I wanted to pay. I was going to order the orange special edition but its a 3 month wait and a price bump, to me the low price and driving off the lot was the way to go. No Regrets.. can't wait for the 1,000 mile break in so i can hit up an autocross again!!! It's been for ever.
