red with 2.0L turbo motor

Default What to do? High Compression, Low Boost or Low Compression, High Boost.

Building a EJ22 that is open deck N/a right now.

I got a great deal on it but it has the stock pistons and rods.

I could turbo it as it sits and run like 8-9 psi of boost on stock compresion.

or i was thinking of getting lower compresion pistons and stronger rods and running like 15-20 psi and really build the motor up.

what do you guys think i should do.

I plan on building the motor over the next 1 and a half so money is almost no option.

I do want the car to be daily drivable but want to build it to handle SM auto cross classification.

thanks,
Erik S.
