is there any fitment issues w/ the borla hushes? Did they fit just right? I heard some people had trouble having them mate to some aftermarket downpipes.

I've been running an MRT single tip for about 30,000 miles now. My setup includes a catless BPM uppipe and 3" MRT turboback without the resonator. Even without the resonator, the car is quiet. You can hear it when you put your foot down, but that's about it. It's perfect in my opinion. Droning seems to be a problem with so many of the aftermarket exhausts, but the MRT never drones.
I heart my MRT. |

I let Meineke slap my Borla Hush on. It took them less than twenty minutes, and fitment was not a problem. I originally had the Random Tech TBE system sold by Xcceleration but wanted something a bit more peaceful. Mieneke used a Sawz-All to cut my intermediate pipe (the long one that's almost straight) about four inches from the flange and slid the Borla pipe over it (Borla pipe comes expanded to fit over a 3" exhaust) and used their supplied clamps. My muffler appears to be an ars hair off to one side, not enough to worry about, but something I could probably fix the next time my car is on the lift at my homie's shop.

My issue was more like the tips weren't lined up in the center of the cutout in the bumper, but they're level. I'll see if I can do anything with it on Friday when I chill at my friends garage.

The Borla Hush system is kinda loud in the cabin of my wagon. I have mine mated to a Helix DP. Between 2500 and 3500 rpm under normal acceleration, it rumbles with ALOT of bass and resonates in the cabin. I was actually kinda pissed off when I started the car up after the install. But it has gotten quieter with time, or I'm just getting used to it.
However, my wife took the car to run an errand the other day and when she took off, I barely heard the car. Same thing when my bro-in-law took my car yesterday, barely more audible than stock. It rumbles, has alot of deep complicated tones, and sounds just plain MEAN at WOT. I'd recommend it, but it's deceptively loud in the cabin of a wagon. |

For those with hitches go to the parts review section or click here. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=520664 The Hush was a little of a pain to get aligned up. Those with hitches designed like a drawtite may have problems and most likely have to use long hanger extensions. There are some pics on how tight the fit is on my "www" (home page) button.

about the borla hush review- i agree with what he said, but he's also running no cats- i'm running 1 cat so i'm sure my car's much quieter, but it does sound mean- its much louder than stock

I am running a Random technologies turbo-back with two cats (downpipe) with a Borla Hush cat-back (which includes a resonator).
The muffler that came with the turboback was too loud for me, and droned in my 2002 wagon. With the installation of the Borla Hush, I got a great, deep exhaust note, that sounds fantastic, but is not too loud. I am extremely satisfied with this combination, especially because it is all 3 inch stainless steel. |

I don't see an evo 2 listed for the Impreza WRX, only the 2.5 RS. But, it's nice to see GReddy is headed towards full stainless ....
How loud is that GReddy Titanium setup, I wonder? |

Oooops. I was looking here http://www.greddy.com/products/produ...tem%20Ver.2%20(NEW) , elsewhere, they do have that exhaust listed for the WRX.
SP2 versus Evo2, what's the important diff? Also, they claim under 95 decibels, why is that important? What mandate does that meet? |
