Update: Group Buy on Tokico D specs
Hi guys!
I'm going to get some Tokico D specs and I contacted www.cvrmotorsports.com to see if they could possibly do a group buy. (right now, they are $520 usd + $30 Shipping). I think that's a pretty decent price as i've been searching for a while. He wrote me back and said the price would depend on how many people might be interested. But at least he's open to it! At this point they are back ordered until mid next week. So I'm just gauging interest here, since there seems to be a lot of discussion about suspension and what with track season coming up. So, anyone who is in, sign up here, or PM me. Also, if anyone's interested in Prodrive springs, let me know too, I might try and get a group buy going on those as well. Ok guys, so here's the deal as of right now Normal Pricing $550 1-5 People $539 6-10 People $525 11-15 People $505 Thats where it stands right now, but here is the deal. If you have anyone confirmed, I will do this nationally and try to squeeze even better pricing by adding more people from the forums, and Ill drop it for you. Let me know if this works initially and if your guys are ready to do this, and well get on it Chris @ CVR So anyone interested for sure, either sign up here or PM me: I'd like to have this settled by the end of the weekend. If it is shipped via USPS airmail and not UPS/Fedex ground, count me in. I'm not paying a crap load of brokerage fees to get this though

I think Tokico are 02/03 style struts so it is not a direct swap for 04+ (need the washer mod).

XtremePsionic:
That sounds great! If your friend can pick them up, it'll save you a bunch. I think you may need to have his name on the package as well to pick it up if you decide to buy them. I'm pretty sure 04's need to do a 02/03 tophat swap for it to fit... ask bman5. KIMUTAKU: maybe you'd want to buy these anyway and then sell your KYB's after you replace them? |

the 520 US is BEFORE the deal or is that the deal?
I'm probably going to run these with my stock springs, anyone have any experience in terms of how well that's going to be? |

Yannerd, $520 us plus 30 shipping is the price they are listed at. I'm trying to get a better deal than that, although that's the cheapest I've found anywhere so far.

Brokerage fees as in if the guy ships them cross the border using UPS/Fedex/DHL ground services.
For example, UPS just tried to charge $66 in brokerage fees for a $200 USD item. I just told them to send it back to the shipper, since I told the guy to ship with USPS (postal service), which would be like $5-10 more for the shipper but no BS brokerage charges when it gets to OUR doors. Count me out if the guy will only ship via those courier ground services, if anything, I just dont' feel like paying UPS for their scams. |

Update from the representative:
Phil, Thank you and sorry for the late reply. Im working on this as we speak to try and get you the most solid deal possible. We can access any application of the DSPEC as long as it is not on backorder but several shipments are landing within the next week. Where did you need these shipped also? Do let me know, I will have something worked out by tomorrow while I await some replies from our reps Chris @CVR XtremePsionic: so do you want to have them shipped to the states and have your buddy in Vancouver pick them up for you, or did you want them shipped to Calgary. Let me know ASAP as I would optimally like to place the order by the end of the week. Thanks |

Update to thread - prices as posted in red, please read bottom of first post! Thanks!
Just heard back, this is as low as they can do it for. Apparently Tokico has actually raised their prices to the dealer and so they have had to actively negotiate just to keep their prices as they have been. So no room for negotiation. Anyone interested, please sign up asap....I'm going to order Monday or Tuesday. Last edited by ghostfoot7; 04-04-2007 at 09:19 PM. |
