Yeah I'm hoping this weather will hold and maybe dry out a bit and I'll head down later. Maybe it will hold off the crowd a bit.

Yeah it's quite the awesome place. There is no fee, but I always feel guilty about not helping during work parties. :/ I think I'll do that sometime. I usually have to park on the street near the entrance. There isn't much available parking right at the entrance.

my office has zero windows. weather isn't bad?

I helped out at a work party last week. dug a hole for one of the new features on Step It Up. I want to help more in phase 2, they are planning on building more intermediate features.

That would be so awesome. I'm always at the top of the FR/DH runs thinking I KNOW I can hit these but I just don't go for it. If you're definitely heading down before six I'll probably be down there about then. Hit me up.

I torm my AC joint in my shoulder at Whistler opening day. It was worth it while it lasted. All jumps need transitions BTW.

Blackrock has amazing riding. Minus the no shuttling, its a premiere spot to ride (been in lots of high profile DVDs too)

I feel the same way, I live in central WA so work parties are tough to do.
I have however donated to evergreen, if you do that you don't feel so bad.

oh6wrx - Where is Blackrock? I'm kind of looking to expand my exposure to different areas this summer. I've only been riding Duthie. I'm definitely going to hit Tokul East and Summit Ridge Freeride Park this year. Tokul is pretty much in my backyard and I just have to do a little driving for Summit Ridge.

Went over to Duthie this morning before work for some riding. I was kinda bummed last night that I didn't go riding. Weather was all weird during the afternoon and didn't want to deal with downpous. Ended up going to a bar for drinks, but realized on the way home that I made the wrong choice and should've rode. anyhow, only rode the berms of Bootcamp, 2Hi, and Ryan's line. I feel like the time I spent on the hardtail the other day really paid off. I felt way better on my FS and really went after the jumps/drops today.

i'm super tired at work right now though.

Definitely heading to Duthie this afternoon. Probably take a 2-3hr nap, have some lunch, and peace out!

I was there from 8am to almost 2pm. Had a great day of riding. I demo'd a Niner W.F.O. 9. It was huge, definitely not my style. The two great things about a 29er though are the great climbing ability and riding over roots like nothing at all.

Picked up an 07 stumpjumper comp today off craigslist. I can't believe how mint it is. Haven't ridden in a long time but I'm back in the game now. It has clip pedals on it that I gotta change and I need a helmet. And I need a bike rack of somesort lol. Anyone use trunk-mount racks?

I have used trunk mounted racks and they work, but not all that well. If you get the strap placement just right you should be good to go. Another option to consider if you don't want to do a roof rack is to install a hitch and a hitch mounted rack. Another downside to the trunk racks is that the arm placement might not work out with all frames. My Redline conquest fit fine on the rack but my Transition Vagrant was a bear to put on there. If you are in Seattle head over to Rack and Road on 80th and Aurora, super helpful staff and they carry both Thule and Yakima.

That looks pretty damn fun. When my bike gets here, I'm going... next week I think.

Anybody want to recommend a place to buy some knee/shin pads?
