Clicking from right rear of car, help pls
So I drove to work this morning, car was normal, came home normal, decided to go for a spin tonight. I set out and hear clicking when I reach 20-30km/h+.
Things to know: -car: 2004 sti -kms: 75,0000 miles -only occurs when car is moving 20-30 kilmeters an hour plus -drove over a plastic bag the other day(unavoidable). What are the chances that it's stuck around something and making the noise by hitting my axle or something? -axle? -hub bearing? -Axle boots seem ok from a far, but I wont know for sure till I get the car on a hoist this weekend. thanks for any helpful input you may have. |

With 75,000 miles, I would be VERY surprised if the strut "clunk" is just starting to happen... It was happening to me after 20,000 miles!
The strut clunk is not really a ticking/clicking sound ether... more like someone knocking on a door. I only hear my strut clunk when driving under 10km/h. Anything above that, I don't hear it at all... so for you to only hear it above 20-30km/h I would suspect something else. Jack up the car, get under it, and take a look! |

Ok I'll look into the strut more, I doubt it would be the endlinks because the sound gets progressively faster with more speed.

Hmmm I didn't know you have coilovers, sorry. What kind of coilovers do you have?
My suggestion would be Jack up the car and tighten everything up and check if there is anything looking odd. |

Oh thank god. I was afraid it might have been that plastic bag. Those things can be deadly!!
