Tranny leaking at axle
I lifted my car up yesterday and noticed that my tranny has developed a small leak were the driveers side axle goes into the tranny. From what I have read, it seams like it is the seal. How hard is it to replace this seal? Would I have to take apart the tranny? Or could I just yank out the axle and do it from there?

Pull the Axle, there should be no need to remove the tranny, the o-ring and seal are about 18 dollars from a subaru dealer.

Hey tim,
So this procedure would not work on my car? http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1097344 Is it because its a different construction? |

Well S.O.A.B!
I just checked a couple transmissions I have laying around and you can remove them externally. Boy was I wrong. |
