So, back in '08, there was a big Subaru meet in Babler Park in Wildwood, MO. Over 50+ cars and 80+ people. That was one of the Largest STLSubaru Meets. I'd like to see if we could go bigger by combining with those from KC and from Chicago, and anyone else that wants to make the drive. It's going to take some time to plan and some communication from the main planners of the different groups but if executed correctly I think it would be pretty bad a$s.

Shoot for a date(s) in June.
Location: I'm thinking the central place in this case would be St. Louis.
Maybe make it a 2 day event to make it worth everyone's drive and time. Large meet in the day (Saturday) with BBQ, pictures, just good times and what not, then that night hit up downtown STL or Fast Eddies, or somewhere for the entertainment (it would probably be best to get a reservation depending on what we wanted to do) and then Sunday maybe we try and do a short cruise or meet at another location for more pictures and whatnot before going our separate ways. Those traveling to StL would obviously need to arrange accommodations, or maybe we make a huge camping event out of this, I don't know.

Obviously, this is just the beginnings of a raw plan and I don't know if there is interest from the out of town groups, but like I said, it executed correctly this would be an awesome meet. We could even have shirts made to denote this amazing meet.

Let's hear some feedback and see if it's even worth going deeper into planning.

Camping and get a track/airport to play on. You would get a TON of people.

STL would be the perfect place to hold a nation Subaru event. Someone just needs to step up and do it.

I'll look into some camping areas.
And I'm happy to help put this together I would just need more input and help from surrounding groups.

I would drive from Peoria IL for this. I think the camping idea is a great one. If we had a big block of campsites, a couple big bon fires, could make for a great time.

I would definitely want to at least cruise and have a little driving fun in addition to the meet/show, but if there was somewhere to have more fun without breaking a bunch of laws, that'd be awesome as well.

i am sure some locals from the area can manage to set up some kind of cruises within the area. I know in the carbondale area there is a lot of places that a amazingly fun to drive, with sharp up hill and down hill turns and nice straight awayas.

In St. Louis there are definitely some fun back roads cruises that we could do. I'm just wondering how well we would manage depending on the size of the group.

We cooooould run a cruise and have multiple St. Louis guys spread out among the group to ensure that no one gets lost. So yea, I think it would be doable.

Talk it up amongst your own groups as well. I know we have some big response from STL about it already, and this is before it has been announced on the boards here.

I'm looking into a couple places that have group camping like Dbl_D718 mentioned.

I finally posted it on STLSubaru, so if you could post it on KCSubaru I would appreciate it. And I'll try an keep up on the feedback or you can paste it here or direct those members to send their comments here.
And you're the second one I have heard say late June/Early July so may we will focus on that time frame.
You can even direct them to me if you'd like.

Sure some of the Indy guy's etc. will be interested aswell. I would be into organizing an event at Gateway Motorsports Park if I was able to, but the location I'm going to be at won't allow for that.

Not sure how Subaru purist meet you're wanting to make this, but can also get Nissan & midwestevo's into it aswell. Just a thought

For the moment, I'd actually like to keep it Subarus for the most part.

And excellent point to the Indy group, does anyone know of a group or is anyone part of that group? If so, can you post this in the group forum, wherever it may be?
