Question on an '08 sti, what is the best FIT rim i can get on 265/ 35ZR/18 tires ?

on an '08 sti,
what width & offset on rims can i get on a set of 265/ 35ZR/18 tires ?

the reason i ask is because these are a wide set of tires and i need to know what width and offset would clear the brakes w/o a problem.

for that specific tire i would want a 18x9.5 with a +48 or +45 offset.

Are you asking what could fit or what would be the best fit? Are you on stock suspension?

You can put 265/35s on the stock rims, they fit fine, though a bit wider rim would be better.

A particular offset isn't going to guarantee brake clearance, it also depends on the spoke design of the specific wheel.

18x9" to 18x10.5". If you want to fit that tire without any fender modification though, you will need to be conservative with offset. Somewhere in the +55 to +48 range probably. Not all wheels that fit that criteria will clear your brakes or even come in your bolt pattern but some do. You can get OZ Ultraleggera in 18x9" +55 that clear your brakes and will fit that tire with no issue. They also weight <20lbs btw...

yes i am on stock suspension.
those are the tires i have on now. i am looking to replace the rims, but was just hearing that others w/ '08 sti's have to get specific rim widths because they don't clear the big brakes.
i was looking to see what the best fit on those tires would be..

i was actually looking into the OZ Ultraleggera. Thanks for the size recommendation. I am also looking at the Advan RZ as a possibility.

i would personally buy something along the lines of 18x9.5 with an offset somewhere between +40 and +45.

a lot of people are proponents of maintaining the stock offset, but i'd rather have a wider track.

18x9.5" Rota DPT are available in +44 but your fenders are going to need help dealing with a 265 on that. They're also considerably over 20lbs. If you go with those, you should probably just do what you need to do on the fenders and get some 275/35R18. Better gearing, wider.
