That Jay pic looks perfect!

I was leaning towards ME but looks like the northern greens may do pretty well

I think Burke is sitting on the 8-10 so despite being 45m closer to me i'm starting to think about Bush, it doesn't hurt that i'm sitting on a free ticket there too.

These regional maps are funny. The snow will stop at exactly the border of the next state, and it will not cross into Canada!

Who got out today and where?

I'll be getting out tomorrow somewhere no farther than an hour or so from Jackson, NH. Been scouring forums and snow reports trying to figure where I should ride. Anyone feel free to chime in and help me make my decision!!!

Mount Snow was pretty great today. The parking lot and roads were absolutely crazy though because of the snow. Measured about 18 inches at my house close to the mountain

I skied the glades at Bear Peak today, and it was awesome. As usual there was hardly anyone there. We got quite a bit of snow in the MWV.

My wife works at a ski shop in town and she kept hearing idiots complaining about the terrible snow conditions and how none of the trails were groomed.

Just arrived at Sunapee. Traffic was moving about 50 mph or slower the whole way up. Doesn't look like they got the expected 12-16 inches, but still looks like it will be worth it in the morning. Anyone else gonna be there tomorrow? I'm in my white bugeye wagon.

Nah, I live right up the road from the cricle. I start working on Monday though, so I'll finally get my pass. Hopefully it's good for you. I know they had the upper closed for quite a while today.

I'll be at wawa tonight, they were getting some snow last night I heard.

Sunapee was decent but very windblown and drifty. Should be better today after the grooming. Bumped into nesic'er parked next to me.

I went to Sugarbush yesterday, didn't get there until about 10 because of driving conditions. They claim 2' and I would say that is probably accurate. Everything was tracked out and extremely bumped up by the time we got out there, I was on a board which made that a bit tricky. Trees were deep, knee-thigh through the few untracked lines I found.

We stuck mostly to Lincoln, Heavens Gate was on wind hold all day, Castlerock opened around 1 but the line was close to 30m so we only took one run down there, I regret not sucking it up and riding it a couple more times the snow was much better there. We tried to grab one ride on North Lynx but they had to close it a few minutes early because of a "bad moose".

I was talking to a couple people watching and laughing about the "bad moose" as the patroller described it, one guy said he was bucking and running around in circles, another guy said he got chased by it on his last run and went on to say, "that thing runs FAST"

Snowed hard through the drive home, which took FOREVER, with a stop for dinner it was almost a 5hr ordeal.

Today we hit up Crotched on the ride home, we were thinking about Sunapee or Gunstock but didn't want to chance holiday crowds plus Crotched is cheaper. A quick 15 runs and out, my second time there in 5 years, I think i'll probably wait at least that long before returning.

I didn't spot any other subies today

Sunapee wasn't too bad. A little crowded and icy in the afternoon. Definitely wind blown though. I'm headed to Shawnee in the morning for the next 3 days

I'll be at cannon tomorrow with a group of 6 or so people. Plan to get there for first chair so the STI should be in the front lot.

New to the area and need some recommendations. Big park rider (board) from CA. Wife loves the long runs. If anyone knows anything about CA mountains, we would buy passes to Mammoth every year. No clue what the winter areas hold up here in the Northeast. Any deal sites, passes, discounts I should look into? Tips?

We are in the north shore of the Boston area.

Thanks

The UGM in 3 was my friend. My STi was down the row further.

Not a bad night one the groomers covered the bare spots. Little bit too much crowded asshattery but we took first tracks on conifer and the run under polar express.

I'm from the west also, I have a close mind to the mountains here, since I'm not here because I chose to be now. Lol.

That being said, I'll give you a heads up on the biggest thing for me, the jumps. They don't have nearly the height of mountains to build super awesome jumps. Anything past 45' they just start putting more and more kick in the lip, instead of long smooth transitions. Makes it really easy to get in the back seat quick.

Really? Ugh.

So where should we start? I notice everything has Mammoth prices...hoping they are comparable mountains.

Still snowing in Vermont (Pic from this morning and more snow coming). Was at Sugarbush early yesterday and it was pretty damn good. Headed up to Sugarbush tomorrow as well. Got to take this snow while we have it.
