If it is a loud rumbling kind of sound I would suspect a wheel bearing... I think I have heard of a couple people having that happen. If that is the problem, it should be covered under warranty.

Can you describe the noise a little more? Maybe you have a rock caught in your tread or something ...

If you go in the trunk and look behind the black sections on the sides..............youl find,,,nothing!Ive got the version 5 and other susp.parts including somewhat noisey Bridgestone 730s.I installed carpet padding behimd the black pieces and in the spare tire area and i cut a piece to fit under the carpet in the rear also.
Results,,,Quiter Stromung, not any road noise, cheap fix $14 bucks, and my Radio and cd sound more bassy.

2.5rsMI,

You probably have a wheel bearing going bad. It took me a while to figure it out in my car. I had done a bunch of mods when the bearing started going bad. I thought the noise was coming from low profile tires + STI bushings. After about 10k miles it started getting worse. I noticed a slight shimmy and decided to tear the back drive train apart to find it. Both rear hub bearings were almost completely dry. With no visible evidence of the grease leaking out, I assume they weren't properly greased when installed. I changed out both bearings and all the seals myself. I made sure to completely clean out the new bearings and stuff as much synthetic grease in as possible. Result...absolutely no noise of any kind from the rearend and that was 25k miles ago. Hope this helps.

Regards,
Chris
