subaru, not subaru, BUT IM BACK!! (NOVA Alert)
hey yall i havent posted on here in a long time because i sold my 300+whp wrx then got an old bmw, that didnt work out so im buying a 05 legacy GT wagon now and would love to know what stock turbo is in there, what is the deal with utec ( i know you can buy it for the legacy but there is no base map???) so a few questions
1. what can the stock boost be safely turned up too with an EBC? 2. is the perrin TMIC a good upgrade? 3. is there any engine management system out there for the legacy?

Cobb makes an AP for the Legacy, but you'll have to wait for version 2, or try to find a used version 1 in the classifieds.
The stock turbo is a VF40. |

You've been gone awhile, but have forgotten what it's like to search and read the FAQs in each forum and post specific questions in specific forums and not confuse us with 900 questions all at once.
I'm gonna move this so you get local help. |

+1 on checking out legacygt.com
Stock boost your probably looking at around 17-18 psi max, the stock turbo won't hold much more then that, so no use trying. Cobb stage 2 runs around 16.5-17psi. I personally like the looks of the AVO TMIC version 2. but thats IMO. And the big engine management for legacy's is the Cobb AP, just about all modded legacy's have one, and a lot get custom tunes. |

Nice car choice, Stevo.
Here's what I got from the stock turbo on my '05 with AP and downpipe: The lower line is stock. The middle is stock + AccessPort (off the shelf map) and downpipe. The top is with custom tuning by moi. This is my car: Come by the shop some time. I'll be happy to do a knowledge dump of all I know about the Legacy and mods for it... --Dan Mach V FastWRX.com |
