Never saw this thread until after I got to watch the car at Nationals. Awesome car Greg, nice to meet you down there. I was walking by telling you nice run when you said thanks Colin and took me by surprise since I don't think I had ever met you. Very cool to read through the thread. It made me realize I would never build an ESP car though, too much work!

Thanks Colin, I remembered you from last year. Maybe it was the Bridgestone stuff that gave you away.

All I know is the car is alot more fun then in STX trim so I can never go back...........keeping it reliable is a challenge I wanted.

I know I haven't updated in a while.........but whatever.

The seasons almost over and I'm looking forward to next year. With Sammy stepping back into ESP the east coast will be no cake walk.

So on deck:

Moving to E85 as soon as I get some injectors.

Putting the new mainshaft and gears in the box that Lipsinc brought to Lincoln. Nice! Thanks!

Softening up the rear end to combat the bucking that forces you to lift. Never good. I probably should've paid more attention to Jason's suggestions, but he's Asian........

Oh and perhaps a new car color for next year. Not much to do mechanically so it'll give me something to do over the winter.

Greg

+1 Apparently he's building a S197 Mustang for the class. He's only done a few bolt-ons thus far, but I hear the real work starts this winter. Either way, I expect the pecking order in ESP to be shaken up dramatically next year.

Greg if you want someone to supervise that mainshaft (that I helped pay for :-P) installation you know how to get ahold of me!
Oh ps corn feeding it is yes!
Never listen to jdub :-P
And definitely paint the car!
Painting it will get rid of the marks me and Jason left on the car

PS I owe you fender liners.

Jay trim your front lawn you bastard! :-P

Did it die, did Greg die?

No the car hasn't died. I'm just trying to do what I can with limited $ this year.

Fully rebuilt trans waiting to go in.

8 wheels primed for paint.

Shocks are out for rebuild.

Vinyl ordered to wrap the car.

E85 is reality...........

A faster, lighter, better handling car for 2010?

Should be an awesome year! Can't wait...... See you in dixie.

Dunno. Therapy can get pretty expensive.

I had to make my own sunshine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It makes me happy!

I need to get some stickarz made....cause they're fast and I want to do a proper photo shoot before this season destroys the car.....

Don't think it's appearance only. Mods include:

Spring Rates
ACT HD clutch
Carbon Fiber Driveshaft (being made now)

E-85 tune was supposed to happen this weekend but it's not gonna be till april, so for that..
1000cc injectors
GM flex fuel sensor
Zeitronix Ethanol display

On deck
I'm going to back to back some headers and Jason recommend I have Hytech make a set, if they're willing to.
Intake change to a 70mm aps

And then..................pre-turbo water injection later in the season. Oh well if I destroy $100.00 snail a season who cares? I need HP.

I'm always working.

Thanks fellas....

Yep I intend to be in Peru.

It's a wrap so it's not without imperfections. But as you can see the overall impact is dramatic.

That is awesome.

There has to be some sort of on course advantage here. Like "oh, that's not a cone that got hit, a triangle shaped piece of rubber must have fallen off of his car"
