Oil on spark plug wires normal
or so the Subaru dealership says.
I've had trouble overheating and finally decided to do a compression check to see if its the head gasket... well upon taking out wire #1 there was oil all over the boot. The same goes for 2-4 also. I get a call back from Subaru saying the only thing wrong with my car is the radiator that has a tiny hole in it. I can see that as being the reason for overheating... but is having oil on the spark plug boots normal?? Normal as in every boxer engine that Subaru produces (which he says). Also my car has 55,000 miles on her. I think not, but i'm getting further opinions

no, the spark plug tube bonnets need to be replaced, this is a common problems on honda's where we use small o-rings to seal the tubes off and they eventually dry out and leak. replace em and replace the wires.
