If you read a little here, you'll see you'll have plenty of time waiting...

I'm also ETA +2 weeks today.

Did you get a revised ETA? I hear a lot of the 10/8s came in already or have revised ETAs. I'm worried since mine STILL shows 10/8 even though they were all supposedly released already.

Nope, 10/08 still, though on Friday it was changed from "completed" to "released". I received a call from Subaru of America on Friday saying they weren't sure about where my car was but their "goal" is to get me in my car... Sounds like they're clueless.

Wow so now the expected wait even for the base cars is 10-12 weeks? If thats the case I'm getting my deposit back, I'll just go pick up a base 2012 MS3, they can be had for under $21k now and there's plenty on the lots out there.

i happen to have to pass the dealer today on my way to Westport CT to pick up a car for work. As I drive up I see a SWP base in the driveway. I was driving towards it and saw no fogs and the wrap on the roof so it didnt have a sunroof. MY EYES LIT UP!!! as i got closer I then noticed the back glass sloped down. IT WAS A 4DR!!!! Its sitting right in front of the dealership laughing at me like HAHA SO CLOSE, YET SO FAR lol

Anyway I decided to stop in because I ordered a week ago and didn't receive any VON yet. He said the order went through Tuesday(10/16) morning (I ordered Monday night right before closing time) and the VON could take 6-8 business days to come back. If so I should have it some point this week. He said he will also forward a website to track it (i guess SoA set up a site too now? i knew of the number to call)

Will do. I was a little shocked when he said that. im assuming its wrong information lol

I played the dumb "is there a way to track the car?" card, and he said yes there is a telephone number I can give you and a website you can enter the VON into. and it was like . IF IT WORKS AND IS TRUE I'll prob make a new thread for it so it doesn't get lost in the pages

Just got a call from my dealer that my STI limited sedan is coming off the truck now, so i'll be able to pick it up today after work.

For anyone wondering, I was one of the "ordered aug 15th ETA 10/8" guys

SOMEONE MAKE IT 530 NOW

Great! Yep. I got mine on Friday. If you were a 10/8 guy, you should get your car IMO no later than Wednesday. It is a guess, but it depends on where you live and traffic/weather.

It's so great to hear people are getting their cars. Anyway anyone know how long should I wait after the VON was issued to call up SoA to check if I have a ETA? And lol if that website tracking thing is real I would go crazy and keep putting in my von# every day.

5-door STIs are almost non existent in CA dealer inventories. Either all the 5-doors sold quick or the dealers just didn't order them. I can find tons of limited and base STI sedans, just no 5-doors.

Hang in there the wait is SO worth it guys/gals!

I LOVE my STI. It rides nice and firm, dare I say luxurious, like a Bimmer. Push it hard though and the limits are higher and higher. It's so awesome. I'm going to start calling my STI the Subaru AWESOME!

My salesman emailed me and said they got word from Subaru of America's Distribution Manager about my car. Apparently it was released to the shipping company in Indiana on the 18th. I was told they were given instructions to "hot ship"... They said within the week... I'd hope so since Indiana is only 4 hours away...

Just a quick look shows diablo subaru with 2 in transit and Maita with 3... Only checked 2 dealers and there are five 5-door wrx base models in most colors. They sell quick, but my point is find the one you want that is in transit, contact the dealer and work something out then only have a 1-2 week wait.

This is the kind of stuff I like hearing.

I work with a lot of industrial shipping and the term "hot ship" or "hot truck" usually means two or three drivers that take turns sleeping to drive 24/7 until they arrive...

Still nothing for you, eh? I'm nearing 400 miles with mine now and wish I could drive it more. The biggest surprise was when I got my insurance note in the mail that said I would be paying $4 less per 6 months for my WRX than my Nissan Altima. I knew from asking for a quote prior to ordering it that it would be similar, but I didn't think it would be less.

I'm talking about STIs specifically. There are tons of sedan STIs but very few 5-doors in inventory pretty much nationwide.

The dealers you mentioned, Diablo has 1 STI sedan, and Miata has none.
