Default Outback Sport and Kia Sportage Detailed

Did a couple of details this past weekend.

First belongs to Nasioc RedneckTrucker's "GF", she got this Outback late last year and had a few tiny surface scratches that needed buffing out and wax applied.

Washed with ONR
Scratches buffed with Meguiar's DACP and a Meguiar's cutting pad
NXT applied with a grey finishing pad
Wheels/tires cleaned with Meguiar's All In One Cleaner (3:1)
Tires dressed with Meguiar's Hyperdressing (3:1)

It started to rain/drizzle about 2 mins after I finished it up, but at least it was protected and scratches were removed.

Next was Nasioc's RockVR4 (Doug), he called me to detail his mom's Kia Sportage.

Wash with ONR
Buffed each panel 2x with Meguiar's DACP and a red cutting pad
Sealed with Meguiar's Ultimate Wax
Wheels/tires cleaned with Meguiar's All In One Cleaner (3:1)
Tires dressed with Meguiar's Hyperdressing (3:1)
Interior stained cleaned with Meguiar's All In One Cleaner (3:1)
Dressed with Meguiar's Interior Quick Detailer

They both look great and appears you removed some swirls fairly well with a cleaner/polish. I was just wondering why you didn't detail clay either vehicle especially when you did swirl removal on the old Kia?... I am glad to see you are using quality products. But, why did you do two cutting passes on the Kia? You usually need to use a light polishing pad or finishing pad after cutting the paint to remove an haze from the cutting pad. I understand you didn't use a compound or even a abrasive polish with the cutting pad. If you are going to do to passes on the whole car you might as well use a cutting pad with swirl remover(compounding polish), and follow that with a light polishing or finishing pad with a light finishing polish. Just makes more sense IMO. But if you and the clients are happy with the end results you can't argue with that.
Please don't be offended of me being critical. I am a detailer so the sort of things jump out at me and make ask ?'s. I anything, others can learn from your techniques and what I am say as well.
Happy detailing and keep making 'em shine!

Now if they could just return the hood scoop to the OBS like it had in the 98-01 models!

Sorry OP, not trying to derail. Nice bike btw!
