2014 Forester looks like a fat Impreza... and it's a turbo
The dashboard looks like it was lifted straight from the impreza/crosstrek and the headlights are very similar also. What are the chances that the 2.0 turbo will make it into the imp? I read from other sources that it is based on the fb20.

I agree, the interior looks almost identical to the Impreza's. Not that that's a bad thing.

I love it too. Heading out to the LA Auto Show to check it out in person. I will be replacing my 12 Impreza Sport with this.

That thing is pretty sick. I love the led headlight surround and the turn signals on the mirrors. Wish the impreza had both of these features. The '14 is the only forester I'd ever remotely consider buying. Subaru did a good job of stepping it up.

i considered this too. the 2.5 NA model will get 32ish mpg, reasonable considering the out back gets 31 or 30 mpg. there is a lot more space and the utility. i tried camping out the back of the impreza. i was able to sleep but not well and it wasn't comfortable. even if i did wait for the XV the space would not be enough to justify 1 mpg. and i am doubtful about the XV getting 33 mpg. the outback i had as a loaner got 31average mpg calculated (yes, i was nice enough to refill it) going 70-75 down the freeway.

I think it looks alright. No better, no worse, necessarily. Miss the scoop though.

The side mirrors also look like a direct lift from the Impreza/XV. Not too bad looking... a decent evolution from the current model. Kind of dissapointed that it dosen't have it's own unique dash tho.

I wonder if the US version will get the color display in the MPG/Trip computer on the top center of the dash. The Impreza int he US didn't get that, but others did.
The color display is nice, plus it gives some other functionality as well. |

Nice! Everything looks good except I don't like the edges of the front bumper.
They have the rear view camera display built into the MFD instead of the stereo. |
