Exclamation I Challenge ya!

I just got done talking with a balls out Honda lover and he swears (although I don't really agree) that a Subaru could never do anything but mid 13's as far as a 1/4 mile go.

Now, being a huge European racing fan I don't really car about that, but i still beleive that they can do faster. I just wanted to see if anyone has any proof or even a car themselves that can do it.

If not to inform at least for your own satisfaction.

FYI - I ran my car tonight and it roughly runs a mid 14

There seems to be quite a few that will do better than that, although for the most part they're WRX's. http://www.scoobymile.com/

With a '95 Legacy? How did you manage that?

Regarding the Honda guy: yes, ignorance is bliss for some people. What an idiot.

There's a 91 or 92 Legacy(Liberty) in Australia that does 11's.

I'd like to run my car. I need a stock timeslip before I stick any bolt ons on the car.

I'm diggin the Honda comment

intake, hi-flow cat back exhaust, Borla header, Racing Pulley Set = mid 14's

and it helps that my Legacy isn't an AWD

Is your car a 5-speed?

Yeah my FWD 95 ran a 16.5 with some weight reduction and an intake Did you run at woodburn or PIR? Nice to see some people modding their legacys in oregon!

Post PIR

My step-brother 's neighbor runs in the SCCA pro level and we went to PIR one day and I ran my subie. It's a 5-speed, and my neighbor and I have done some custom weight reduction, shaving and machining of parts.

I'll show him a fast Scoob. Just give me a year to finish it, lol.

I'm sure I could dial the boost to max pressure for a run and see what happens.

I'll have a slip to show the man, but it'll be below 13.5.

Tell him that his honda will never beat your Subaru. While he's at the line spinnin the meats (if it makes enough torque), you'll be down the track.

I believe you meant "Subaru out there". As in not plural.

Last I heard the ESX drag car had put down a 9.75 1/4. I have seen this car in person at the East Coast Shootout and all I can say is WOW. Ali has a damn nice ride. I have some good pics of the car but nowhere to host them. The custom ice water water/air i/c is super sweet and the turbo is big enough to eat a small child. IIRC Ali said they were running something like 34 psi putting down 750 hp. Very, very nice. You should see the crazy rotors and calipers on this car.

True True! Not that many pretty Legacy rides in Portland. I haven't seen your 95 around. My bro used to have a 95 legacy L AWD, it was AWD though and he'd put tons of tweaks on it. Unfortunatelly that Legacy is no longer around...thanks to an Acura side-scraping him into a wall

I inherited some of his mods....my 97 GT is auto and it's driving me nuts. Still pulls plenty though. I should go to Woodburn or PIR and see how I do. I recently powdercoated my stock wheels and I gotta' tell you...looks much better. Otherwise I just have the 3-piece racing pulley kit, intake, borla header and 2.5GT Sube muffler, which I got for $60. I'll soon replace that with a full cat-back....that is when the $$$ comes through. The rest is minor...suspension, steel-breaded lines etc.

Unfortunatly my legacy isnt around anymore either...I hit a buick
Is yours the white one with factory gt wheels powdercoated black? If so, I see your car all the time. I live in beaverton, I remember seeing one at the movie theatre like 2 days after I totalled my car, that hurt!

Yep, white GT sedan with powedercoated stock wheels...that's me They are supposed to be gun-poweder color and when the car is washed they looks really good....I think much better than the stock white-silver finish. I got them done for $300 with the stripping. I was thinking about getting new wheels...that would also mean 215 tires and I'd rather save me money for the new Turbooooo Legacy coming up

Sorry to hear about your Sube...are you looking for another one?! Where you able to get the insurance to pay for it at least?! My bro actually got more from the insurance than if he would have sold it in private (he had full coverage with collision insurance). On top of that he sold of his parts (some of them to me) so he came out clean!

Yeah insurance covered me for the accident, I bought the car for 4200, and insurance gave me 7000! BUT I had the pay off the loan and at that point I only had like 4000 for a car. I bought my Nissan, and never looked back. I still miss my subie sometimes...but the nissan is a lot faster, and the t-tops are incredable! We should meet up sometime, I would love to take a better look at your subie! Go to http://teampci.onlineshowoff.com
the last pic is a pic of my subie, I wouldn't doubt it if you had seen it around....
