Default Wagon Fender Flares

Alright so i have seen some 2002 wrx wagon's that have bubble fender flares modifications done to them. Has anyone done a DIY modification on bubble flares? i would love to see some pictures of wrx wagon fender flare creations, cause they look straight sick with them

Bubble flares?

Never seen that...I have seen many wagons with the front sedan bumpers and fenders. Also seen a few with custom rear fenders but those are a full-custom job.

I'm not going to search it for you, but there was someone on here a while back that was mocking up some wagon flares. They looked downright atrocious to me, but I have a sense of taste that is seemingly rare. When I do the body on my wagon I will be doing some custom work on the fender areas. I know how much work it is, and it is not something to be taken on by the inexperienced. Unless you don't care how it turns out, in which case you could just cut yours with a nibbler and rivet on some aftermarket plastic flares.

There have been several wagon owners who have done the sedan "blisters" both front and rear, which includes the rear doors. I have seen two that were done really nice (too nice for my uses), although I haven't seen details on how they sorted the rear bumper or gas door areas. Every problem has hundreds of possible solutions, it is up to you to find the one that will work the best.

Go check out the TopScoob Sticky in Members Gallery. He has a GC8 Wagon with some nice fender flares from TeamPrototype. Probably wouldn't look too bad on a bugeye either!

The front's easy: sedan conversion.

The rear, well you have options.

Go search and have fun.

i just did the sedan font end conversion on my wagon. it was a 2 hour job max getting the old parts off and putting the newer stuff on. anyone looking to do this should defintely not be intimidated. keep your 10mm socket handy though.
