Default Blitz DSBC or SBC-iD?

OK, Gurus, specialists, et all- what's your vote? I want to put in an EBC and am torn between these two models. Is the SBC-id worth the extra $$?

I don't have the time to do a lot of tuning, (no TEC-II for me!) but I want more control than hi/lo boost.

Also, can you take AWAY boost with an EBC? Like if you want to de-tune it for when someone else drives it?

And lastly, is it easy/hard/possible to remove when you want to bring it in for warrantee work? Do you have to tap into lines and leave traces that it was there?

Hey jamz,

My vote goes for SBC-id. scoobyruman has the DSBC and he helped me to install my SBC-id. When he saw the SBC-id, he thought it was better than his DSBC. The main advantage is that is has an LCD display unit which is awesome. And it allows room for upgrading with the Power Meter. Performance, they can probably do the same thing. They both use the same soleniod. You can check mine out on Thursday. I may even end up selling mine depending on mine conversation with Turbo XS.

I heard the Dual SBC is a better unit function wise.

But that's just what I heard as I haven't done any research or had experience with it. So...take my words as just an opinion, not fact.

Actually they use the same selenoid. Only difference is that the SBC-id is easier to use, has a few extra features and can link to the power meter which is nice. It also has the advantage of a nice graph scale and being able to read in Bar, Kg/mm or PSI. So bottom line, no difference in performance really but the SBC-id does have some nice features which I think merit the small price difference.

My choice is now between the SBC-iD and the Apexi SVC-R. Only thing is, I don't think that you can adjust Apexi boost on the fly like you can with the Blitz.

Hey Pete, how long did it take you guys to install yours?

We took our time and it only took a couple hours. Very easy to do!
