Well if you want to get technical...

Did you read that off an faq card?

Damn.. thats impressive tune on a stock 205! Its been a while since ive seen anything even over 400whp posted on the board with one!

That vp import must be pretty good gas also.. is this fuel better than c-16 or are the properties similar?

My stock clutch held 8 passes at the track with 440 ft lbs from the same dyno. However the clutch would not hold 9 passes at the track. I do recommend the Exedy after the break in period. I really did not like the first 12-1400 miles, but now it feels great. It is still a bit too sticky for rush hour traffic, but that is the trade off for the power.

I heard that an Exedy twin disk is going in tonight, as well as some other goodies ... and the car will be at capital tonight to get some 1/4 mile times (if the weather holds out). Hopefully they won't get kicked off the track with the first pass.
You should come out an run your's too.

No kidding***8230;. 11.5 or faster and he can't run without a roll-bar, correct?

Wish I had that problem...

Correct ... 11.49, and he gets kicked off the track. If all goes well, that should happen tonight (if the weather clears up). Do a few runs to get the launch down ... pull through 3rd, and hit the brakes! They'll likely have one shot to get a 10 sec. pass (hopefully).

Great to see progress like this. I can't wait until I break 400 whp on my stock EJ205.

Congrats!

Edwin called an said he ran an 11.86 with the clutch slipping real bad. I can't remember what his trap speed was. Hopefullilly the car will make it out again soon. Gotta get a clutch that will hold the power, and raise the boost values in the utec so it actually hits peak boost in the 1/4 mile. The most they hit last night was ~28 psi

Long time...

Don't forget this is a sweet project car of a guy who works and is backed by his performance shop employer. That said the car will be around and continue to impress for a long while. I'm sure as soon as that high mileage 2.0l gives up; a fresh new 2.5l will be ready to go to work continuing to set records***8230;
