Question Need advice on which used WRX to get

Looking into used WRX wagons/5 spd and came across the following:

2002 - 43k miles - 100k extended warranty - $16,500

and

2003 - 7500 miles - $19,999

Which one is a better deal? Is 43k too many miles for a used WRX? Any help appreciated.

depends on what u plan to do with it. For modding for speed, go with the 2002 cuz the clutch is better..imo also cuz its cheaper. If u can afford the 20g for the 03, then hey go for it

Since the 04's are out, you can probably get an 03 wagon, NEW, for like $21k. Especially if it's in yellow as it seems like those didn't sell very well. You get better financing on new cars... it might end up being equal.

I wouldn't call the clutch "better" in the 02. IMHO Subaru changed it for a reason.

buy a wrecked '99 RS and get a used WRX engine (w/ all the other bits), and spend the cash to get it all done up... should be around 16-18k.

Sorry, I just love the old styles

i would be worried about the tranny on both of them.
43000miles could be a start of tranny failure...

7500miles could also been abused before it was sold. (clutch
dumps, etc).

with 100k warranty, i would probably go with the 43000mile
one since its cheaper and you can save the 3k for your mods.
but keep about 2k for insurance just in case the tranny
does break.
