Default Injen CAI for Older GC/GF Models

I have a 1998 Subaru Impreza L Wagon with a 2.2L EJ22 SOHC.

I am interested in getting the Injen RD Series Cold Air Intake to replace my Modified EBay intake.

So What I would like to know is

1. is there any CAI that is better that is still on the market.
2. Do I have to worry about water getting into it. (My Car has been lowered almost 2 inches over stock)
3. Anyone got any before and after dyno numbers I belive i remember someone did a big comparison on Intakes last year.

I need to know soon I am going to the Mid West Subaru Shootout on the 23rd of october and need a bit more power to beat this Forester. (we are very close in times about .1 sec dif) and i will only have about $300 to spend before then.

what kind of track are you and the forester on? i know that literally everyone says n/a's lose that low range but gain a tad bit in the higher rpms. so unless theres a straight away or something i'd stick with a torque box + cai piping, a mod i've seen and want so bad

Torque box AKA big black airbox behind the TB.

Search for Ganzflow or PDM intake.

Hmmm. Yep seems as though you can replace what you have with an Injen or buy an Stock air intake and mod it.

If you go the second route you will still be under the price of a new Injen.

Also, now realizing you have a MAF, the Injen may be easier to deal with.
