This is about five coats of black for a base, and one can of gold metalizer per wheel.

I think it might look better with more gold

How long has the autodip been on your car before? I've seen it on a friend's front lip, and while the texture/color was smooth and glossy, it started peeling off by week 2.

Just sprayed it. We'll see how long it lasts.

Gotcha, keep us posted on how it works for you. I'm very interested in trying the product but not many reviews on it.

For you guys that dipped your whole wheel.

Will stick on wheel weights stay attached if you have the wheels balanced after dipping, or will the weights eventually fall off? Any issues like that?

The last time i had my wheels coated was with HaloEFX and we put the weights right over the top of it, ran my car for a year without issues.

This time i did a full peel and put the weights down first then put Halo over them. This is right before we put a coat of clear on them

Yellow blaze with a platinum base coat. did this a few weeks back, installing my FMIC yesterday. I'll try to get some better pics later.

Did someone text you a photo from a block and a half away of your own car? Hard to tell but kinda looks like a rattle can job.

Yeah that's pretty much what it looks like, slightly shinier after a quick sand and buff. Product is Halo EFX, the red is actually in the true gloss and is house of kolors candy apple red. The gloss is fuel, chemical, and scratch resistance and you can peel it off the car without messing up the base coat, so next month if I really wanted to I could peel the red off and paint it another color.

this was our first go at it and its all dry, had a huge run on the other side so we peeled all the red off and re-did it.

this was it over the winter, left the white a satin finish but the wheels have the true gloss on them.

Matte black plasti-dip job I did on my wheels awhile back. I decided the wheels are too valuable to deface with paint and since I track the car, I will not powdercoat them. Plasti-dip was a good compromise. Attention to detail on the coats gave it a near satin finish.
