you beat me to it, I was just about to mention that the 32 bit ECU does have a clutch pedal switch that goes to the ECU.

When will an enginuity (aka RomRaider) XML fix be released so us linux users can have a go at this?

A pro you missed for ignition cut based LC is for nitrous users. They'll blow their engine right quick with a fuel based cut.

I agree though, 32bit LC should be done first before anything else.

if you run a clutch pedal enabled relay then your safe, that way when the clutch is pushed in the nitrous is disabled

you will need to use EcuEdit to convert the file size from 160 to 192

how do you do that exactly? just open the rom in ECU edit and resave it or something?

File>File convert functions>convert 160 to 192

you don't need to do that anyway, ecu takes both these formats

yep its that easy you don't even have to open the ROM file you just fo the the convert function and then click on the file you want to convert...the patch only works as they said for the larger file size 192k so even though the ECU will take both the patch will only work on the 192k file as stated in the how-to

I've updated my definitions for it on the XPT site, however it is only for the XPT maps and not for the default roms. The problem with updating them for all maps is that it is not enabled in a stock rom, therefore if you do not have it patched, the table will show up with corrupt data and could cause issues if it's not patched to begin with.

Tiny - Thanks for the 04 WRX patch! Can't wait for th 03 and upcoming 32-bit patches!

Xswrex, will these patches be compatible with the groundwork laid for enginuity/romraider RAMTune? I've read through all the threads on it, and it seems like LC is to be integrated.

As in, are you running the same offsets for the values and code as the 16bit test releases?

my patches are compatible to stock roms (stock refers to factory program code, not the tune)
I have not seen any ramtune enabled rom, although i have asked for it from the enginuity team in the past in order to test and further develop.

I know this is sorta off topic, but have you guys heard of gizzmo electronics? (http://www.gizzmoelectronics.com/Pro...Interface.html) They have launch control via ignition cut, and has the ability to do flat foot shifting.

Now according to gizzmo it's compatible with all subarus. So 16bit, and 32bit ecu are able to run this. My question is, since a 16bit ecu doesn't have that ability to monitor the clutch switch, is there a way to rig something up that would allow the ability to monitor it?

If this was covered already please excuse my no0b-ness

I just had a thought (I know they are sometimes a little silly and outside the box )

I was looking through Enginuity and noticed a heap of other switches that are monitored - what if I was to use one of these monitored switches in place of the clutch switch?

ie. rewire the clutch switch to use one of the "not important" monitored switches.

In the wise words of turboXS with the UTEC instal and using the clutch switch for FFS...

Quote:
Do not, under any circumstances, tap the UTEC clutch switch wires into the clutch
switch with the stock clutch wires still connected. Trust us, this will result in all sorts
of electrical gremlins that may well ensure your car never runs correctly again. If
you fail to heed this warning, you may as well douse your car in race gas and light it
off, because it’s as good as dead. You think we are kidding? TurboXS has no sense of
humour. You have been warned.
In otherwords, **** with the clutch switch, kiss your car goodby.

Yes sorry, the unpatched rom will so 12800 / 158mph. DO NOT TOUCH these values with an UNPATCHED rom.
