Want to come over and let me throw one on my car just to see fitment? I'd appreciate it.
Thanks for the links on the flairs. We're getting close to a good solution, but nothing yet that I've really liked. Everything is a little to... rigged? Maybe hacked is the word? I'll probably have to make custom ones or something. I'll get tires for the GR BBS's next year. Last edited by kpluiten; 11-06-2012 at 06:53 PM. |

Front, sure, no problem. Rear... that requires separating the hub from the knuckle and a new wheel bearing/seals. |

Deal. Come over this weekend sometime. That should take only a few minutes.
How do you like the R-S3's? They seem to review favorably. As good as the Dunlop Star Specs. But they are like $300 cheaper. |

Good work as always. I'm still working on those new flares but no word yet If you want to borrow one of my uncut zg flares to tape up and check out fitment you can too.

I love them. Worlds better than the old Michelin pilot sport A/S plus I had. I've only been able to break them loose once (rears) mid-turn and they were cold. So much more confidence taking corners once they're warmed up. I don't feel like im understeering all the time. Quote:
I don't know the expected life span but I would guess they aren't a 40,000 mile tire. |

I got some bad news from the powder coater yesterday; the color we ordered for the intake manifold and the valve covers didn't work right. It was supposed to be wrinkle finish, but came out gloss and smooth and dark. So the things will need to be stripped and then we'll try again or perhaps try another color/type. But this will add a couple of weeks I think. |

I'm really happy for you, and I'ma let you finish. But this thing had one of the best build threads of all times.

Ran them this season and have had zero complaints, other than we couldn't use them at SLB on Wednesday I'd put it this way when comparing RS3s to Star Specs, AD08s, RE11s: Why pay more money per tire, to go slower on a track. They are great bang for the buck tires. |
