Quarter Mile: 08 STI 2.5L 20g E85- 12.29 @ 114.65
Event: Quarter Mile
Location: Speedworld, Wittman, AZ Ambient Temp: 51F Elevation: 1470 Weather: Nightime, clear Track and Conditions: Asphalt, not prepped too well Tires: Stock Dunlops, 26 psi Car: 2008 STI base model Tuner: Myself (Tau Performance), open source Dyno Info: Airboy road dyno Peak HP at RPM: 381 WHP @ 6290, SAE corrected Peak Torque at RPM: 402 WTQ @ 4180, SAE corrected Baseline hp/tq for a stock on same dyno: unsure Target Boost: 24 psi peak tapering to 20 Target AFR: 12.0 (gasoline equivalent) Fuel: E85 Engine/Power Modifications: stock block, stock TMIC, stock turbo inlet, TGVs, custom 3" CAI intake, decapped stock injectors, Walbro fp, ceramic coated stock headers, ceramic coated Tsudo catless DP, stock ceramic coated UP, stock catback, parallel MAC BCS/Hallman MBC, FP 2.4" inlet TD06 7 cm^2 20g ported and coated Driveline Modifications: stock Suspension Modifications: stock Other Modifications: stock, other than removal of spare, jack, etc. I went to Speedworld Friday night to try for an 11 second run on E85. Didn't happen but I learned alot. It is much harder to launch a 20g car than stage 1 when I ran a 12.9. I was spinning all the way through 1st, and smoked the clutch in 2nd a few times due to the torque. Plus the track is not that great. Finally, after letting the clutch cool off, I was able to get a few ok runs. Best 60' was 1.77. Best result of the night- 12.29 @ 114.65. On this run, I spun through first still. Best trap of the night was 115.24. I do have in-car video of all runs that I haven't downloaded yet. I wanted to post these results as I have not seen any 20g or 20g/ E85 track results for the 08+ yet, or setups that have minimal mods. I have done this on a budget and spent maybe $800 for all mods (but I self tune). This is a perfect street setup for me, no loss in power and great top end. I also have a 91 oct map that dynos at 303 WHP, 301 WTQ @ 19 psi. Plus, I get 22 MPG mixed driving on 91, and about 18-19 on E85. Now on to the slips -

nice job! Congrats.
I wonder why your trap is that low. It should be around 119-120 for that kind of power. |

Well, not sure. I was hot lapping all night and didn't cool the TMIC off, although it was only warm to the touch. This track sucks though. I will go back to Firebird soon but I fear I may not get great results either as it is starting to get warmer. We shall see.

I have a fp green 2.4 inlet 7 rear housing, external gate setup and a downpipe, stock cat back. I actually have the green up for sale but your results definitely have me wondering if i'm doing the right thing.

Heck yeah! I am trying for 11's. Gotta get to the better track and try to not spin through 1st; I'm sure I lost a few tenths there. I'll get the video up so you can see what I'm talking about.
