Default 2nd Annual Potapsco Meet?

Cancelled! Looks like there's not enough interest, and a conflict for the June 2nd date, so I don't think I'm going through with this. Maybe in the Fall.

Thinking of organizing a second Potapsco meet. Last year's went really well, and we had a great turn-out. I figure with all the WRX owners in the area we might get double what we had last year (I think it was like 50 cars). Since we'll have more people, I want to reserve the biggest area thay have. It'll hold 200 people and ~90 cars. Also cost $200 for the day, so if I do it, a donation of $1 per person would be appreciated. It'll once again be BYOF & BYOB, so keep that in mind.

Quote:
<150' From Restroom Easy Access To Caterer, Grills, Fireplace, Drinking Water Available, Electricity, Lights, Next To Basketball Hoop, Ballfield, Open Play Area, Hiking Trails, In Sight Of Play Ground.
Anyway....If we want to do it late Spring, it's either Saturday, May 18th, or Sunday June 2nd. If I do this, I'll reserve within the week, so get your votes in ASAP.

Thanks,

Tim

suprised you didn't mention the bike trails. I've heard that their corses are some of the best in md. I have yet to go there but the people at my bike shop tell me they are worth the trip and i'm about 1 hr from there.

Yeah...the last time I rode there I almost died because I was so out of shape. I'm still too out of shape to ride there now, but maybe by the meet.

grrrrr.... both times are possibly a bust for me... 18th is a large function for me... so I can't miss that.... and I might be on cruise for June. I signed up for that day though, hopefully I'll be able to make a big meet for once.

If we have it on June 2nd, it will have to be renamed the:

Happy 24th B-day to Silver Sube 01 Meet!!

That would also be two consecutive Scooby birthdays for me, last year was either the Richmond meet, or one of our Skyline meets, I can't remember which.

June 2 is very bad. That's the weekend of the STPR rally. How can you have a meet then? You should be at the rally!

Given that the rally doesn't end until late, late saturday night, I wouldn't be on the road until late sunday morning, and it will take hours to get back to home, and I will be dead tired.

But the world doesn't revolve around me.

I second BobO's comment. I will be at the rally as most of you should be
There's nothing like hiking up into the woods and enjoying the trees, the birds, the mountain air, and a backfiring, fire belting all wheel drive monster flying through the woods sideways darting trees, water crossings and a occasional Turkey

If it's on 2 Jun, then I'll be there. As long as there are not auto-x's or rally-x's

Depends on the meet time. I think you would be hard pressed to drag you azz out of the hotel bed after standing/sitting/cheering at some hairpin corner in the middle of nowwhere all night. Guessing leaving the hotel at 10, and that it should take around 4-5 hours to get to patapsco, md from wellsburo, pa, that's puts us latter in the day around 3 or so. Not counting any stops and assuming mapblast is correct , that is. Not only that but we would be beat.

While patapsco was a really great place, is there somewhere else, that can take us. Perhaps Ken's place? It's byof and boyb anyway.

YEah. Decided not to do it. Looks like not enough interest to justify $200. Maybe we can at least plan a Skyline meet & drive soon.
