I definitely like these much better compared to stock.
Can you post a picture of the whole car? I've been thinking of picking these up. How strong/reliable do they appear to be?

Sorry it took me so long to respond, life threw me a curve ball. Here's some photos... let me know if it's what your looking for. I was thinking about lowering it but I do a lot of driving on dirt roads plus I'm thinking about moving to Boston or north Cali next year so I gotta keep the height for the snow

Tuner lugs are made for aftermarket wheels, the oem lugs are designed to be used with your oem wheels, messing with that is a waste of time , money and potentially safety, and to say it looks better, I mean we are talking about lugs right??

New knob...big shout out to chris@wclathewerks for the awesome custom job!

On a side note...our imprezas have a rather hefty stock knob...very surprised by that.

Not quite true, I bought http://www.mcgard.com/automotive-2/i...gory_pathway=0 to replace my crappy looking oems that were only 10 months old and rusting. The mcgards fit perfectly as they are cone seat just like oem. I posted pics in the big impreza thread

They aren't, they are what I got. they have worked great for the last 1000 miles. They are "tuner style"though because that have the cone seat

I dont see the harm in aftermarket lugs. I havent seen or heard of any wheels blowing off the bolts due to putting aftermarket lugs on with an oem wheel. Its not like im putting insane amounts of power to the wheels to cause some sort of extreme force to try and break them. If you have some sort of study or proof that shows oem rims with aftermarket lugs is unsafe then please forward the link and maybe ill reconsider this switch.

The aftermarket lugs were cheaper than the stock oem from Subaru, 50$ compared to 100.

These lug nuts do actually look better, yes they are lug nuts...I don't care they still look better.

Here is a pic showing what 60 percent of my lug nuts look like compared to the new aftermarket ones.

They really do look better don't they ? :P

Waste of time? it took me all of 20 minutes to switch the lug nuts...

The seat of the aftermarket lugs matches the angle of the oem lugs so I really dont see the harm in it. Unless it is made by some inferior metal that im not aware of them I don't think I will be worrying about my wheels falling off anytime soon.
I have a friend whos had aftermarket lugs on his oem rims for the past 4 years and he hasnt had any problem with it...and his car is a 12 second turbo civic broooo...

I will keep you guys posted if any wheels or lugs fly off, but Im sure there really isnt a huge chance of all the lug nuts failing at the exact same time causing any unsafe situations. I've checked through all the lugs, re torqued them to spec, and all seems fine.

I did say potential issues, if they seat the same then you should be ok, but i still see no value here. Look better?? better how? They now stick out too far and draw attention to them. Why would you want to draw attention to lug nuts? Time may have been $20 minutes but it is still replacing something that was pointless. I feel like this was a mod just to mod with no real value, at least you could have got he black ones to justify that they are really different, but this to me still makes no sense. It's money you could have used on something more beneficial.

Obviously its your car, so do what you like.

Like you said, it's my car, I'll do what I like. It looks better than the stock, it may stick out a bit, but not as much as other lugs,
I like it. To each his own.
Besides, what mod actually ads value? Rims? Lowering springs?
It's not pointless when your current lugs are rusting, gouged, turning black. I think that if any part of your car was experiencing these symptoms you would consider changing/upgrading them.

Whats your state law regarding tinting? Did they get you for the rear window?

I'm somewhat lucky as I have a medical waiver for tint due to migraines, so I can use that as my get out of ticket free card

NJ state law says no tint on fronts or windshield. The back and rear has no limit.

Did you get waiver from a general physician or eye doctor?
