Default JDM EJ20G Gates Timing belt.... which one?

I looked up on the website from Gates and I saw 2 different timing belts available for my engine...one was the T277 standard belt, the other was the T328RB racing belt... I would prefer the second choice but wanted to know which is the one that the emgine needs incase of some kind of issue(s).
Thanks.

the T277 doesnt cross-reference to the 02-03 wrx , at least in Amazon's application finder.

277 and 328 are the same. 328 has the Gates Blue belt option (328RB) that is 1mm wider.

I am pretty sure the belt is the same across all the dohc. I have been using one for the usdm sti for a couple years now with no problem.

Semi-grave bump, but for clarification on the JDM EJ20's, are all the tensioners, idlers, water pump and seals the same across the board as well?
I'm trying to piece together a timing belt kit for my install, but I've been reading a bunch of different information.

I just bought the Gates TCK277 kit for the 1996 2.5L DOHC Legacy. It has the older style tensioner pulley (which mine has, 1993 WRX). All the pulleys are the same and the belt is the exact same size with the marks in all the correct places.

I also used a thermo/water pump from 02 WRX, it fit perfectly.

you can use any timing belt and any tensioner. you can intermix whatever you'd like.

order the tensioner from a ej22e and the belt from a 02 wrx

I used the blue 328RB on my ej20g and I used the old style tensioner as I heard it is more reliable.

Single piece or two piece, it's good to know I can use both

Don't forget to do the waterpump, thermostat and crank seal at the same time. Get some clamps to hold the timing gears in place too, that's what took me the longest, the timing gears kept slipping after I set them.

So, I compiled my timing belt parts list for my early EJ20G.

x1 - Gates Racing Timing Belt- GATE-T328RB
x1 - Older Tensioner, EJ22E/T, EJ18- 13068AA051
x2 - Smooth Idler Pulleys- 13073AA142
x1 - Toothed Idler Pulley- 13085AA010/80
x1 - Water Pump- 21111AA026
x1 - Water Pump Gasket- 21114AA030/51
x1 - Thermostat and Gasket- 21210AA030
x4 - Cam Seal 806732150
x1 - Crank seal - Front- 806733030
x1 - Crank seal - Rear- 806786040

I recall needing 4 pulleys, but I only listed 3. Can anybody tell me if I'm missing anything?
