How about you guys don't piss all over Geremy's thread for once? If you are interested in the track day, post here. If you have a whiny complaint, smart ass remark, off topic comment, etc....keep it the **** to yourself. Geremy organizes these events for everyone to enjoy, and often is out money of his own at the end of it all. Show some respect.

How much track time do we get? Possibly make it cheaper for advanced drivers who don't need instruction?

The cost is what it is because there are only 25 cars at the event, split into beginners and experienced drivers. You also get catered lunch, and the experience of the instructors.

The morning is spent in the classroom and on the track for driving drills. Then lunch. After lunch, approx. 12:30-4:30 is 20 minutes on track, 20 minutes in classroom alternating.

Like I said before the posts were deleted, it's only $26 more than last time. I'm guessing the costs went up slightly. I can't imagine how such a small increase could be a dealbreaker for anybody on this forum.

This is a fantastic event for newbies and track stars alike.

The participant limits have been enforced in the past. Once all the slots were taken, the event was listed as "full". I didn't actually count the cars at the track day, but yeah...

Absolutely, that's the whole point.

As far as a price increase from $289 to $315 is concerned, the track has raised their rental fees for 2009 as well they require a SCCBC rep to man the entrance gate for the day.

I also have to pay for the toilet rental. If everyone can manage to hold it in for the day maybe I can knock off a dollar or two.

+123 on this ...... it is a great time but having done it 2-3 times I would rather spend more time on the track doing laps

If anything I think we were short a few times people pulled out last minute.

As for pricing the track and catering pricing went up, sure Jeremy could have cut the catering part out. But for the couple of extra $ to eat good food and be able to relax and talk with friends about how great your day is going. It is a lot better then being all rushed trying to get to and from the track and eating Mcdicks or A & W then feeling all gross as you go around the track for the rest of the day..... Plus the neighbors would probably complain about 25 Suby's bombing back and forth during lunch with their loud exhausts. Then we would end up losing the only place we have in the lower mainland to actually legally to see what our cars can do!

I am very interested in attending, but I won't be back to Vancouver until June 1st...

I don't know how much longer I have to wait until my car has a chance to meet the track.

The VIC Track Day is limited to 24 participants to maximize the amount of time spent "on track".

The 24 are split into 2 groups and while one group in "on track" the other group is receiving instruction and having questions answered. Each session is roughly 20-30 mins and for the afternoon sessions, we run as much as we can till around 4:00- 4:30.

Please keep in mind that Driving Unlimited is conducting the course and they do whatever possible to give us the maximum balance of expert instruction AND track time while ensuring the event is run smoothly and most importantly, safely.

FYI, I filled in Abbotsford the morning of my track day, and had to refill in Mission at around 3pm. A full tank of gas, and then some means a hell of a lot of laps.

If you haven't done this in the past, do it. It's a hell of a great experience.

The price seems about right. Other groups like the Inside Line have comparable prices around 230-250 but you only get 4 runs, 20 minutes each. This one you'll probably get at least 6-8 runs.

Really tempted to go since this will probably the only time that fits my schedule.
Do we need to perform a checkup before getting the car onto the track?
