Default How do I datalog to sd card using tactrix 2.0?

I'm trying to datalog onto my sd card using a tactrix 2.0 cable but its not working right. I found instructions that say to setup a log file on the sd card, remove just the tactrix adapter that plugs into the obd port, and plug it into the car. I will start the car, hit the defogger button to start logging, and than turn everything off and connect to my laptop. So far the only thing that appears on the sd card are the log.xml file and a logcnf.out file. Shouldn't I be getting a csv file??

What am I doing wrong??

There is a specific thread on the tactrix website in regards to this.
Lets just say there is more to it and it is not plug and play ready yet

write speeds can slow down on larger cards, i doubt you would ever need anything bigger than a 2gig card though, 2gig should be way more than enough

Use this link to download the config tool for setting up a config file for your sd tactrix. Once downloaded just pick your ecu from the dropdown and then check off the parameters you wish to log, then save the file to the main directory of your SD card.

A log file should be created once you plug the tactrix into the OBD2, regardless of if you press the defogger switch or not. If it's not being created, either the Tactrix isn't getting power (does it light up when you plug it in), or there is an issue in the logcfg.txt file.

hi guys thanks for your help..my ecu wasn't supported on the logcfg creator page but I tried a new logcfg.txt file and just used the standard rpm>0 trigger and it worked..so maybe the defogger one doesn't work ? im assuming its the rear defogger button ?? I triple checked the trigger and I uncommented/commented the old/new trigger correctly.

anyways thanks for your help I will just have to log via laptop for now I think

You can name it whatever you want. That doesn't matter.

Ok guys Logging through laptop all ok but annoying when I'm by myself..I have an idea is it possible to log to sd card and make a trigger for it to start when throttle is say 90 or 100% ?

It sucks my defogger doesn't work for sd card so if anyone can write Me up a trigger for throttle it would be appreciated

If you installed EcuFlash in the default location, you'll have a variety of sample files here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenECU\EcuFlash\samples\logging

The sample file "subaru k-line adc lc1" in particular has a good selection of samples, including:

conditionrpn = RPM,0,>
action = start

conditionrpn = RPM,0,==
action = stop

which you could change to some other RPM value

Or change it to tps instead of rpm.

Log tps, whatever it's exact name is copy/paste it where rpm is and change it to desired rpm numbers instead of the zeros.

With romraider logging to your laptop you can use the defroster to start/stop logging.
