Default New spark plugs or keep old ones?

I am getting a stage 1 kit. The kit comes with a T25 BB turbo, specked out to flow more than a T3 but a little less than a T3/04. So I would say it's efficiency range is maybe 12-15psi. My kit is non-intercooled, and is going to be running 5psi.

Do you think I should upgrade my spark plugs to 2 stages colder or so. I want to prevent detonation, and I know since I am not benefiting from an intercooler, I should try and prevent it with 94 octane gas and colder plugs. So which plugs should I get?

The reason I am not getting an intercooler at this time is so I can have more gauges to monitor the engine. If i got the intercooler, I could only get EGT and boost. Without the intercooler, I would have plenty to spend on EGT, fuel pressure gauge, and a boost gauge. Which route is better? Keep in mind, I am taking my car through the winter right now, so hot outside temperatures are non-existent to induce detonation. I can always save up in the winter for an intercooler to go on in the summer.

Let me know what you guys think.

Kevin
