I think I am going to buy this when my tax return money comes in, any updates from those who have had it for a couple months? Still satisfied with it?

Had it for a month or so now. Still have some problems with it but its not to bad. I hate how you need the right area to imput the address correctly. Like I live in St. Louis but if I want to go out somewhere in Chesterfield (a county of StL) I'll have to type in Chesterfield then the address. Usually I dont know what district the address I need to get to is so I get real frustrated.
what else bothers me, uhh. The Zoom level of the 2D nav, to far or way to close. But I dont use it that often so it honestly doesnt matter. Another thing about it though, When you stop at a red light, it spins the arrow to north, not a big deal but its still dumb. All in all, I'd buy this again. those things dont bring down the good side of it. I get bluetooth, a better sound system, bluetooth streaming from my phone to play music. Its amazing. |

This unit seems to be very interesting. Seems to be exactly what I am looking for, so I am wondering if I could get some feedback on people who have had it for a while. I will mainly be using it for Navigation and playing my ipod. Currently have the Forester 4.3" OEM unit and love it, but looking for something with a bit more options. This looks like a perfection option as it seems to all be plug and play and looks very OEM. Where can I purchase one? Does it fit in the stock trim/bezel? Thanks!

^^ alright, so the sound quality is about 100% better than the oem head unit, maybe even 200% It is plug and play, I suck at electronics but it was easy enough for me to install. You just gotta be hands on enough, I linked the gps ant behind my glove box up through the A-pillar and moved it next to my homelink. Wires were plug and play. Navigation is pretty decent. I just hate how you gotta have sub-county's as your city if you wanna go there or input a zip, for example, West county of st louis is it's own division instead of being st louis. It's a tiny thing but it is something. Another thing about the nav is the annoying constant reminder of a turn when it gets closer and closer. It's one too many type of deal, I get it, I'm turning here, please stop cutting out my bluetooth streaming music (which is awesome). Yeah, to annouce that you need to turn, it will stop your music and tell you. Id prefer it if it would lower the music and then tell you instead of Ohhh YEEE.... ding, take a left in .2 miles... silence.... AHHHHHHHHHHHH!! it will not plug up to the stock bezel but the kit comes with one. Fits snug. I got mine of ebay refurbished and it worked great thus far. I love it. Making my car have bluetooth is great, oh and the aux jack should still work but I've gotten guys saying it doesn't, I'd love to help but I can only do so much over the interwebz. This is a recommended product for plug and play and getting a little something on the side

Anyone found one of these or something similar to fit a 2011 STI and retain the steering wheel controls? I looked on ebay and the only Rosen said to work with the Impreza stated it was for 2008-2010. I check Rosen's website and the compatiblity .pdf doesn't even have Subaru listed.

Well, tonight, the navigation stopped working. everything else works (radio, bluetooth, etc.) but once I hit the navigation buttom, it asks me to calibrate the screen but it tells me that "failed to save touch" followed by "unable to execute nngnavi"
Anyone else have this problem? |

I don't know if this is a dead thread. I have the same unit in my 09 impreza. I can't get the radio to stay on with the NAV at the same time. Any ideas?
