1st Canada-spec STi review - Globe and Mail
The review is at http://www.globeandmail.com/globemeg.../STirring.html and of course the reviewer isn't going to try and compare it with the Mitsubishi Evolution since the Evo is unavailable in Canada. And the reviewer describes the STi as the most expensive Subaru ever. I guess Canada doesn't get the Outback VDC Wagon and never got the SVX?

I have a wrx and it's no surprise. I don't know if it makes more ultimate hp but it seems as if more boost comes on earlier. When the winter months come these things get friskly as Alaskan sled dogs. |

But those first cool, dry fall days, you really notice a difference in the WRX. -BrianK |

Jon [in CT]:
Thanks for the article! I should have bought the globe today... Canada does get the Outback VDC Wagon, and it is only $43,995 CAD. That is why I think it is ridiculous that they are charging so much for the STi in Canada. Unless there are things missing on the Canadian version of the VDC, but I don't think so. http://www.subaru.ca/interface/Subar...&WebSiteID=282 (the website sucks, but the price is there :-)...) Yes, we did get the SVX (in response to Jon's 'most expensive' query), but only around 1000 of them, so it's understandable they don't know about it.

How much was the SVX? I have seen a number of them in Edmonton.
