MDF Spare tire box?
Well I recently upgrade the audio in my car, nothing fancy just some Hybrid Audio speakers with a JL audio HD600.4, but now I am looking to add a little more bass to the sound, just some punch, not going for SPL.
So, what I would like to do is add subwoofer to the trunk, without loosing cargo space. I have a set of Kicker Comp CVR dual voice coil subs. I like to take one and put it in where my spare tire would go, as I don't have a spare tire, and it is already sound proofed. Just a small recessed box to go below the floor mat. The amp is pretty much going to be turned down all the way just do add a little low end. Does you guys have any experience with this. I would prefer the box to be made out of MDF as I do have some experience making boxes out of this. I have seen several that used Fiberglass, but I have never used it, and would prefer the MDF. Also, I have a 2009 WRX Sedan. Any suggestions?

Remake the trunk floor in mdf, mount an enclosure that fits in the spair tire well under it and bokt it toghter. Counter sink the whole in the new mdf sub floor so with a grill the woofer sits flush and add carpet.
