I think its a personal preference of mine, because

A) i've seen more cars on the track use them.. and no ones ever had an issue, not to say DBA's have issues, i just never see dba's on the track.

B) its way easier for me to source and at a better price the DBA's in the US.. i dont know where you're located.

For T/A, either will work well. For longer stints, I might lean towards PFC. The DBA's will wear longer as long as rotor temps stay below 1250°F.

I used PFC rotors on the stock brembos in the past and had very good results. Based on my experience I would definitely recommend them.

I use PFC rotors with the PFC "06" pad compound. They work great and last a super long time.

There's probably a reason most professional teams at the Grand Am races I frequent use DBA rotors. If I were looking to spend big bucks on rotors they would probably be one of my top choices. Honestly cheap solid rotors and nice aggressive pads will do you fine for your purposes.

I wonder if those fake plates came with the car? (spacing is wrong, and sticker is in the wrong location)

It would be difficult to come up with a number, but I am sure you are correct for the USA. Down under, it is a completely different story. That said, DBA iron is very, very good and long-wearing for street and recreational track use -- up to 1250°F rotor temps. For serious track duty, it is best to go with the pros (AP Racing, Brembo, Alcon or PFC). These guys know what it takes to make rotors that run up to 2000°F -- and they ain't cheap!

DBA's? ..yea right.. maybe AP's, Brembo (ST's) ...and endless (for the M cars).

I have never seen DBA's on any GT car...... Only down under.

You want what is the most available option (down time sucks)... DBA is far from that.

So if DBA is no good, what's the recommendation for a mild budget WRX? PFC as far as I know only makes STI rotors.

Autocross and track with stock calipers. I'm not looking to spend 3 grand on big brakes for the front and rear when a set of decent rotors and good pads will likely be fine. On my other cars I've always used the cheapest rotors you can buy and they have always worked fine for me as long as you ran a quality pad, but even the cheap rotors for this car are comparable in cost to some of the aftermarket. Would you recommend a 2 piece with aluminum hat or just stay with the solid 1 piece units?

They have a huge warehouse in Michigan and a butt-load of distributors across North America, of whom the better ones carry shelf stock. What's the issue? They may run dry on a particular number from time to time, but their sales have shot up over the last 18 months so they are making adjustments. Fulfillment has improved about 300% from a year ago.
