I like the rally car version more.....
but i am really "impressive" that the STi actually has a 2.5L turbo motor. Must see the torque curve on that thing! FuJi

looks a bit like a Hyundai, the way the lines flow from the headlights over the front fender. could just be reflections/curvature though. |

I say that the wheels you see on the show car are the optional ones, the STi7 wheels we all know will be standard. The tires will be RE070 standard and probably "your choice" for the optional wheels... just like the WRX.

I keep reading everyone's talk on the wheels and how the wheels shown are probably optional. Possibly, but at the unveiling they did say BBS forged wheels..sounds like the SpecC wheels to me. I hope that they are not an optional feature listed at the Detroit Auto Show.
Very sweet...already #1 @ dealer to buy one..hmm, now, which color? Blue, Black or white... |

Anyone have a picture of a Silver STi with Gold wheels? I really want silver, but I'd like to see the Silver/Gold combo before putting my deposit down.
Thanks. |

i don't know if anyone has covered this so far,...
has anyone noticed the two different seat types (in the pics in this thread), one with the black hump between the legs and the other with the blue up the edge of the thigh bolsters? anyone have any idea on what's coming to NA? |

the one with the black bump is the JDM car.
The pics form MSN. That is what we r getting. Of course, SOA has the right to change stuff without notice! |

They had to change the seats because japanese people have smaller frames and average americans have a fat ass.
Thats why JDM recaros from the integra type R and lancer evo are uncomforable and tight according to american magazine reviews. |

It looks like the new seats in the WRX are more comfortable, but then it LOOKS that way, so we can't be sure. To me, they look a lot like the seats from the Acura RSX which I find very comfortable. Notice the thigh bolsters seem to be a bit wider and not as steep as the previous model. Also, the side bolsters seem to be wider as well. And now there are shoulder bolsters as well. These seats should hold driver/passenger really well. Hopefully, they will be as comfy as they look. I was hoping they would include the
infinite back adjustment with a knob like in the Audi or SVT Focus. No, it'll be the preselected notch type which never seems to be just right. I wonder if there will be separate fore and aft tilt this time around? What about lumbar support? Looks like the seats will accomodate real seatbelts too. That's nice. T |

i like the tight feel. just like i like the firm ride. feels more like a race car i guess.
i wish they would at least make them look like the jdm ones. they look much much better imo. and how about that hump in the seat? why delete that? save money i guess. whooowell, guess i'll just have to do with the 300hp |

If SOA is reading this, please, please, please, give us the JDM seats, or at least the seat bottoms, since they should have no effect on any SRS functionality. The people who are buying this car want a snug fitting seat. You've come so close to getting it 100% right, it would suck to be disspointed with the seats. Acura made that mistake on the USDM Type R.

Love the interior.
Love the specs. Love the wheels. Still prefer the GC body style, but I can live with this one better then the bug-eyed style (although I've never been fond of the huge rear wing). My hopes: I hope they make them in RED. I hope I can afford it. |

do you guys know of any, if any, options in terms of wheels?
the wing is a bit much but i think the gold (and i know this is against the general opinion) wheels would be the first to go for me. |

i dig the new looks for sure.. but i agree they need to have a silver option cuz gold rims are so... heterosexually challenged.
imho.. |

What is being indicated next to the fuel gauge?
It almost looks like a gear indicator for an automatic. Is that a gear indicator for the manual? And, the outdoor temp gauge is right below it. Love those gauges. They look like the gauges in Mazda 6S sport package. Nice. T |

I like it, but I wont be buying one. For $35,000 I would rather have my more practical Land Rover in the snow than that....but the black one is dead sexy. Joe |

Nice picture of all the front ends. The new one looks like a nice cross between the first and 2nd gen.

cool pic!
Looking at that pic, I realize that I still really like the bug-eye better than the face-lift. I kinda wish we got one year of the bug-eye STi. That would be sweet!!
oh well, i guess i'll just have to live with the 'ugly' one... |
