Default K&N Filter

I heard K&N Filter can improve the performance of my B9 Tribeca. Have anyone used it before? How is it? Someone said it would mess up the air flow sensor for some cars. Is that true?

As long as you don't over oil it you should be OK but I really doubt there is any performance value to it. The value is you don't have to keep getting new filters.

on the WRX---'03 at least---you lose about 1 horsepower on the dyno by having one. Something you probably would not notice but it may not improve performance on your tribecca.

BUT the K&N sticker that comes with the filter, if placed on your car, adds about 5 HP so it more than makes up for the loss. But for real power, you may want to consider an enormous spoiler. :-P

Please do not put on a huge spoiler AND a sticker till you upgrade the brakes. It would not be safe.
