Too much AVCS advance?
So I finally got around to install my ported manifolds and X-pipe and notice a bit of white residue in the manifolds. First thing I though was d@mn idiots at the race gas shop gave me some leaded gas. O2 sensor also was white and a bit worn. So I check coolant, oil, plugs, vaccuum and everything checkout fine also never blow any smoke . I have a wideband and constantly monitor AFR's, under WOT no higher than 11.1. So I consulted with a buddy of mine and he thinks it is unburnt fuel in the headers burning up and leaving the residue, thoughts? I am currently running 33 degrees of ACVS advance.

wait, what's your question?
You're asking if you're running too much avcs advance? No. the white residue is from racegas? Yes. |
