HID Kits
Hey all
I am looking for a good HID kit for my 05RS. There are a ton of different ones on the website. I am wanting to know who has some and where did they get them. I want to get a good set and not some piss poor one. Anyone have any info for me ? Thanks

best thing to do is pick up a set of stock HID's from a USDM sti and use that instead of a crappy kit.

the only way to got those to work with the stock housing is to put something to block the top part of the bulb. so that it doesn't light up the whole housing.
http://www.rs25.com/forums/f12/97205-6000k-hid-2.html super long thread about it. Notice the beam is cut in half. even then I'm not too much of a fan of HID headlights all the time. I'd rather wire in some bright driving / fog lights and use those when needed. |

Do it right and do a retrofit. A decent aftermarket PnP will run you close to $400. When I did my retrofit, I sourced all my parts off ebay and even with a built wiring harness from Minifreak, the total came to roughly $500. I DIY'ed the retrofit myself and I couldn't have been happier. 2 years later problem free (knock on wood).
