I'd be REALLY interested to see a bull bar that retained the original front bumper! Okay, I could do without the side bars or a rear bumper guard, but a nice bull bar with a spot to mount two lights right at grille height would be AWESOME!!!

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=524209 I know that it is a long thread, but for all of us that don't want to replace the bumper, but get a nice bull bar, lets all get active and get them to start make them. Ben |

ECB Bull Bar
Actually East Coast Bull Bars in Australia already makes several bars that would be great; if they'd ship to the US. Let's voice our opinions to them to get them to set something up!

So what is the price of the bumper you crafted? Any ideas for any other modifications...?

We have the MudRat Winch Tube Bumper on our Baja Turbo. It gets looks everywhere it goes. We will have production versions of the bumper fairly soon. (ours is a rough prototype) The skidplate is now extended all the way up to the lower tube and it looks much more complete. Pricing is not set yet, but the full bumper/skidplate combo will be about $700-$800.
The nice part is the front bumper skin is safely stored and will be unscratched when we turn the truck back or decide to sell it. Nothing on the truck needs to be cut up, just removed. We were unable to scratch the skid plate in a really rough rallyX. A bullbar is in the works. Sean www.rallitek.com |

What I really want is just a brush/bull bar for the front of my baja. I don't want to replace the bumper. Preferablly one that just attaches under the bumper and needs no cutting of the bumper.

Me too! If it included a steel skid plate that would be great. I'm looking for something like this: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/rodi/wesbulbarfor.html

I think the tube bumper would look better if you would extend the upper small bar on the side to go under the fender flare to fill in the gap.

Sorry for No response....
Hello, Everyone.....
Sorry for No response to this Post in Forever.... For some reason after I initially signed up to nasioc, My screen name found its way into limbo Land, and I have been unable to sign in since back in Late March..... It is now obviously Fixed, and I am here to let you know these are still being built...... Cost is going to be a bit higher than before due to cost of Raw Steel doubling in Cost ...... Sean at Rallitek Will have 2 directly, and I am getting ready to do another run on them as well...... Talk Soon, John |

Great looking bumper! Is it functional, or just solidly bolted into place?
Also, did you ever do the rear bumper? That would look great. Perry |

Here is the letter I got from ecb I'm not sure what outback is like are any of you guys???
Hi Patrick, Thank you for your enquiry. The Subaru Baja was never released in Australia, so I couldn't say as to whether or not it is similar to any of our vehicles. It does look similar in the front to our Subaru Outback, but it would be a very expensive gamble to purchase one and find out it doesn't fit. Sorry I couldn't be of any further help. Kind Regards Cameron Smith Sales and Customer Service Ph. 07 3284 0088 Fax. 07 3283 1168 www.ecb.com.au <http://www.ecb.com.au> [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> |

i have asked ecb before and the big problem is they have no US distributors so it costs more than the unit itself to have it shipped to the US

Just got off the phone with John:
1. Rallitek should have those two @ $1000 or so retail, unpainted (in case need to add light tabs etc) 2. I was wanting to do front and rear but apparently in the rear all the crumple-zone features make it really tough to do without cutting the bumperskin. 3. Might be able to work out something on the rear for a skidplate. 4. What they've been doing on Subarus instead of spring / body lift is basically dropping the factory strut mounts 1.5"-3". That compresses the springs (giving a firmer ride, less body roll etc) and gives the ride height to protect the bodywork and get bigger tires in there. |
