Spools by 500rpms....thats fast . If it spools by 5k thats a little too laggy for a 7000rpm redline. I am playing with some cheap turbo diesel hand me downs. Right now I am working on a IHI GM-8. Very close in size to a 20g but about 1/5th the price. I will be happy with 400whp out of a $300 turbo.

do you have any compressor map on the turbo, what are you using to control the vains?
i thought about doing something like this, curious if it really is that beneficial. you seem a little oversensitive. post some tech info to back this up and it will be beneficial for others. good luck. Ben |

So are you saying this spools by 500rpms? I thought for sure that was a typo.

I wont raise the BS flag yet, I need to see some data logs from the UTEC. But to me even with VNT this seems impossible. VNT helped the Shelbys slightly but they even had more lag then you are claimng. 45 psi with a turbo of this size would have blown the 2.0 instantly. You have limited time before the guru's eat you alive

Run an AEM EMS with the optional 5 bar MAP sensor, throw the stock MAF on a shelf. BTW, nice Forge tanks. They dress up the engine bay nicely. |
