I'm heading to SoCal for Formula DRIFT this weekend, so here's a 1920x1080 drifting wallpaper for everyone!

Definitely not the most interesting or aesthetically-pleasing vehicle, but it's coming along:

This is an '87 9C1 Caprice (Former cop car) that a friend of mine picked up for a few hundred bucks as a long-term project for his website.

He just recently installed a complete suspension kit from Hotchkis, along with the new wheels and tires.

Next up is a refresh of the small block, which is soon to be replaced by a big block and T56. Bodywork and new paint is still being debated***8230;

Some "performance" testing from when he first picked it up (Bone stock with 185,000 miles):

Hoping to get an impression of the new suspension and wheels/tires this coming weekend.

Pretty much zero reason NOT to get the 50mm 1.8, as it costs literally around $100. Best lens value ever I think.

For an 85mm, the best bang-for-buck seems to be the Nikon 85mm f1.8 G. It has no aperture ring however if that's something you require.

The Nikon 105mm F2.0 AF DC Lens is also something I've used extensively and while pricey, is absolutely amazing.

my budget is about <500. if you guys see any good deals hook it up! or if you want to unload some lenses just lmk! idc about the aperture ring because i can do that with the camera itself. my 35mm doesn't have one either.

I have the Canon 85mm f/1.8 and loooove that lens. This obviously doesn't help you at all. My sister has the Tamron 90mm for her Nikon and she takes great pictures with it. I believe it's well under the $500 mark.

And the 50mm is a great lens! Can't beat it for the price!

Yeah most people don't but I'm a fan of the machine, not the man! On the other hand he does have the life.

IMHO, Ken Block doing a drifting demo at Formula DRIFT is like Brian Earl Spilner climbing into the ring with Ali because he thinks he can box

Haven't posted a picture in a while. Yeah, yeah, selective coloring. lol. I get bored and I like it for this photo.

Hey Armin, I've been meaning to ask you....do you shoot anything besides drifting events? I would love to see some of your road racing stuff if you have any!
