Default help me find the source of this noise

Since I can't find where it's coming from, I can't figure out where to post this, could be tranny, could be suspension.

The beast appears only when the car is cold, goes away after about 10-15 minutes of driving... just there long enough to worry me and then hide itself when it's at the dealer.

I had originally thought it was the clutch, as I accelerate from a stop, I hear a rotary creak/scraping noise 5 or 6 times and then it goes away until the next stop.

I then thought it was coming from poorly swapped brake pads, so I regreased them this weekend. Sound is still there.

Anyone have any ideas? Seems to be lasting longer these days, started out for about 5 minutes beforehand, now it's up to 10-15 minutes before it goes away. I checked all the brakes, nothing seems to be rubbing or scraping the rotors or wheels. Sounds like it's coming from the middle front of the car.

mileage is about 41k kms NA 07 sedan.

did you check for any gravel caught between the rotors and the backing plates?

yeah there's nothing there, that sound is usually more of a constant high pitched squeal at low speeds, this is only when accelerating in 1st gear

If you can hear it when the car is at idle do this:

1) Use a mechanics stethescope or if you dont have one a super long screwdriver.
2) Try to listen to it by holding the handle of the screwdriver to your ear and placing the other end around where you believe the noise is coming from. *** Caution*** stay away from moving parts like the alternator ect. and the coil packs

Also if you can hear it at idle its not the brakes....

It could be anything by your explanation, TO Bearing, Pilot Bearing, rod bearing, cam ect. ect. ect.

If you can record it post it up. The cars under warranty take it to the dealer if you cant figure it out.

no noise at idle, only while accelerating or when weight is shifting around, just a squeak in heavy braking or very fast throttle off in 1st, just a tiny 'rah' in 2nd in the same circumstance, but that might be the V7s squeaking in the back.

The rotary scraping noise only happens on acceleration in 1st.

bump = still wondering what the possibilities could be, some say release bearing on the clutch is possible but on my low kms? I find it hard to believe.

bump...

what's a intermittent wheel bearing noise sound like?

Is it possible when I sprayed some of the brake parts with cleaner and accidentally hit the axle nut with some errant spray that it could get into the bearing?

axle nuts haven't been touched. I swapped stock brake pads back in on all 4 corners removing my porterfield r4s 'eseseses I already pulled the front brakes apart and put them back together and regreased them, the sound is not coming from there, and there's no indication that it is, but it is a rotational scraping noise. I'll put it up on stands this weekend hopefully and see if anything is bumping into the axles, but aside from that, I have no idea.

Btw, is there any bushings under the car that need to be greased at service intervals? I'm going to hit them up with white lithium grease while I'm under there to make sure, same with spring perches and such to try and get rid of the cold weather creaking.

edit:

the beast is slain. Had my can of white grease under the car hitting anything that was a rubber bushing or was metal on rubber. Probable cause though? spring bolts on the exhaust flange. Grabbed it and reefed on it, it made a hideous squaking noise, hit the bolts with the grease, sound went away. hopefully it stays away but not sure what that white grease is temp rated to
