Default nothing says you made "it," like purchasing "value edition" of car

haven't posted in a long time, but historically ot has had much love for the mazda's...

so anyway, on a whim, i traded my 03 protege5 for a 2008.5 i Touring Value 4dr Sedan 2.0 5 speed...it seems like this edition is really and "s" edition with the smaller "i" edition 2.0 engine... so it comes nicely equipped as opposed to the regular "I" it comes with 17" alloys, leather wrapped nardi knock-off steering wheel, fog lamps, i-pod hook-up etc...power package and side airbags..

it looks something like this, but in galaxy gray...

could i have done better with 16k?

You don't need to know who Raptor Jesus is; you only have to know that he's totally awesome.

you couldn't have done much better. sure, you could have done better in one area or another, but as for a whole package, you did just fine.

thanks, turbo would have been nice as in ms3, but that would be around 22k and i don't have a garage, it would suck to leave a mazdaspeed3 out on the streets. i saw some used mazdaspeed 6's for 20k, but this is new.

and for me the "s" model wasn't worth the extra 2k for 8hp on the 2.3L

i will miss the fender flares the p5 had.

Value edition? Does that mean new model next year or something?

Thats usually how manufacturers dump the overstock of optional parts by throwing everything left into some Collector's Edition, or Value Edition, or Anniversary Edition model....right?

i think the 09's are gonna have a 2.5L engine from 2.3 and there has been sightings of a mule car,

so possibly new style soon, possibly awd also to keep up with new corolla matrix/vibe as japanese model has awd on the 2.0 if i am not mistaken..

Why are you on a car forum when you buy slow economy cars? Unless this is just a DD, then it's a nice one.

Haha good point

Jerry S. - "Limited Edition, limited to the number of models it can sell."

Win. Seems like an ideal car to buzz around in for DD chores. Comfy, nimble, economical.

If this is true:

Doesnt that mean that this 'value edition' is a decendent of God himself?
