Default Saabaru w/ 245/40/18 on 18X8.5 +48

Suspension: STi Pinks.
Wheels : 18 X 8.5 +48
Tires: 245/40/18

No rubs at all even on mild 90deg corner.
Only rub on deep deep dip.
It's okay for daily drive.

This is a temp solution cause I really ran out of RE070.
Stupid FedEX lost the wheels that actuall going to the Saabaru.

I'm sure 245/40/17 w/ 17X8 +48 would not rub like this one.

I know that a 18.7.5 +48 wouldn't rub.

Of course not but 7.5" and 225 is so tiny...
The wider is better for me...

dave, so nice.

question kinda on topic: did you ever put 235/40 or 235/45 on your 04 wheels? I am thinking about going with one of those sizes on my 17x7.5 because I have room--thanks to rollyourfender.com

Thomas,
04 wheels = STi OEM??

I'm sure 235/45/17 will fit w/ no rub on OEM STi wheels. Most likely.

But dont' know about 245 on OEM STi wheels.

I did a massive fender rolling while still preventing the crack.
This the most agressive fender rolling I've ever done... Don't know if I could do it again w/o cracking

Yes, i meant STi OEM (04). I guess I am thinking more about how much shoulder will be bulging out and what the contact patch and steering response will be like with the larger tire on a 17x7.5.

As of this time I'm running stock struts...
I'm thinking of using the Koni Inserts for MY04 Specific that is coming up (maybe it's already out)?

As for the socks..
We all know you have STi Pink Socks

It's probably be okay to put 235 on 7.5 but I'm not sure about 245..
Simple OEM fitting that I always use:
7.5" - 225 - 235
8" - 235 - 245
8.5" - 245 - 255

Ahh. I want to fit 255/35/18 now...

Kevin..
Do it first.. Then let me see if you rub
